For all my brothers who enjoy shooting - dispelling the myth that sanity is returning to box store ammo prices.

Current prices at Dunhams in Muskegon Mi.  I guess the only caveat is they actually have something, anything, in stock at this time!

I watched a great documentary.  As much as we think it's us Americans hoarding the ammo, it actually is a wild purchasing and bootleg to Mexico cartels.  Warehouses filled with ammo. Crazy the war mounting south of the boarder.

Good luck finding reloading supplies.

You nailed it again @uncledj!!  For many years I bought reloads, dirt cheap = 19 cents a round for my .45, from a huge reloading company who reloaded for both retail and LEO.  Their current prices are way up above .70 for the same ammo I was buying a year ago only recently they had a notice posted that said "our ammo prices reflect the fact that we have been unable to obtain primers for several months. We are now in the process of setting up a manufacturing plant to produce primers for our own consumption and to assist in the current primer scarcity the industry is experiencing."..

Post on here when your primer plant is up and running.  I’m almost out of small for my 9mm and larger for 45’s.

CowPuc, what web site would you recommend to sell a handgun.  I have at least one I'd like to sell?

Good question @BlueSky,, very good question!  Sky, in that we are talking handgun, not long gun, this is what I do/did here in Michigan.  The first thing I did was ran an ad in the local "Buyers Guide", its a freebie paper that lots of locals read and that still allows shooters. I sold my AR15 there at a really good price. Next up for us in Michigan is Michigan Gun Owners group, a website/forum that I belong to. I sold everything else thru that forum. Here in Michigan a CCW - CPL carrier can buy handguns person to person and handle all the paper work on their own. I also have a local Pawn/Gun shop that does $20 transfers so a person buying does not have to do the purchase permit thru the LEO office.  Gunbroker dot com would be another option for you except your sales would have to work both ways thru an FFL.  Being an FFL,  that same Pawn/Gun shop is willing to ship for us here in this area if we want to go Gunbroker for gun sales of private sales. Another option of course would be to place your shooter for sale here on VR.  I am not sure but I think @Flyinfool sold his 7-08 here,, I do know he had it for sale here for a while at least, perhaps that WWW of a varmint will chime in.

I did have my 7mm-08 handgun listed for sale on here. But I sold it locally thru an add I posted on the bulletin board at a local gun range.

But on the other hand I am always interested in new shooters I have a few on my need list. What ya got?

Thanks @Flyinfool, I thought so...

Here is my latest addition to the fold you bunch of lop eared varmints. This little shooter was just to precious to leave behind in the dark corner of another friends gun cabinet. It came with a bunch of spare parts he had gathered thru the years as well as a holster.. Its a surprisingly good shooter even though it only holds 6 rounds. Being a 22lr it is also affordable to play with.. Next item of discussion is this extremely quiet 22lr ammo, Colibri by Aquila.. Any of you varmints ever played with this stuff? Since getting my 22lr conversion kit for my Beretta (see last set of pics) I have been watching and waiting for some of this to pop up. The advantage for me is, even though it wont cycle the action on my Beretta or 10/22 or this new little Jennings, I can shoot it quietly here at the house and because my Beretta lower reciever is still being used with the conversion kit, I can practice with my fire control group on my Beretta with out offending neighbors - wayyy cool!!  If your thinking of doing this be reminded that the Super Colibri is louder than the standard (which is what I have). YES, the standard is slower ballistically BUT,, wayy quieter.. It is actually quieter than my daisy pellet gun and MUCH quieter than my Ruger Pellet gun. Just an FYI.. SOO MUCH FUN!!

The one I have I'd like to sell is a S&W Stainless Steel Model 639 9mm.  BUT, after looking into how to sell it, turns out in NC, I have to have a permit to sell a handgun or have a NC carry permit as well to be able to buy one.  My carry permit is a FL permit that I got during my 3 yr 7 month job in Homestead FL.  I plan to get a NC carry permit now.   A permit is required in NC in order to give a handgun to a relative.  Recently, my wife's son gave her two of his handguns but they both have NC carry permits so that was legal.  All of my handguns I acquired when I was in FL and they are legal. The walls are closing in.

It’s crazy how different the laws are between states, in KY all you need to sell a gun is to have a gun for sale. No permit needed to buy, sell, or carry. I keep my CCW permit so I can carry in other states. Show a CCW card and no waiting to pick one up at a retailer. Our permits are weapon permits, not just guns. Switchblade, brass knuckles, saps, etc are legal.

A New Hanover county carry permit requires the names of three people that can verify your sanity before you can be approved.  And I have to take a class.

In FL my military tour was a substitute for the class and no witnesses needed so I got my permit in less that two weeks.

When the repubs took over NC, they passed a castle law and stand your ground.  So, home invaders are fair game, threat or not.

A Brick of 22LR is going for $100 or more here in Minnesota.

Look what is going on around you there is no wonder why people have 1000's of rounds of what ever.

Reloading is not much of an option when you can't get primers or powder.

Other than that you can pay $1.00 plus per round.

So you the law abiding public get the bad rap for some idiot and mental defective out shooting up your local mall and work locations.

None of my weapons have called to me to hurt another human being, they are to be used for their intended purpose or for punching holes in paper or clay pigeons.

Anyone want to bet Nancy P. has armed security around her or that she lives in a gated community?  But you shouldn't have a right to protect yourself like her....BS.

Be care full out there and make sure you obey the law.

God Bless and God's speed my friends
