:lightbulb:Just had an idea,, hope the Boss dont nail me for plagiarism or somethng but I think I will start a thread in the Water Hole,,, gonna snap a pic of one of these old scoots at a time and ask anyone who rode a bike like the picture to tell us a story like you did about your 250! I LOVE reading about others experiences from days gone by.. What do think? Should I blame it on you in case there are reprecussions for doing so?

Must add my :2cents: worth...

First Yamaha was a 305 Big Bear ...forgot year, but then forgot a lot about those years!

Second was an RD400...again forgot year.

Third was XV750J Virgo... year?

Fourth was 2007 V-Star Silverado Classic...still own.

Fifth is 2013 RSV...

LOVED them all! Had a few other makes Harley, Kawasaki, Honda but love the Yammershow best.

First bike I owned was a little Suzuki 100 street bike but have owned four Yamaha models over the years:73' Yamaha 125 Enduro, 78' 650 twin, 03' Vstar 650 Silverado, and my current 09' RSV. Also had a Honda 350 Scrambler in there somewhere. Pics of Yammies below.

Interesting how many of us have had the VStar 650 Classic or Silverado in our stables at one point in time. I must admit, I sure did like that scoot. But sold it to buy the 950 Tourer. Now wishing I didn't have to sell the 950 as I love to ride it. But 3 scoots is to many for this kid..... even though they are all paid for...!Grins!

I traded in my Vstar on the RSV and now wish I had kept it. Now that I've added a trike kit to the venture primarily for my wife's benefit, I would love to have it to zip around on.....loved that ride but just wasn't comfortable on a long trip. [emoji848]

My first that I learned on was an orange 350 and everyone called it the widow maker, I stepped up to the 82 750 virago with the clunky starter, but it always started, lol

images.jpg1972 XS2.jpg1980-Yamaha-SR500-Maroon-0.jpg9197836.jpgWell let's see. I bought a new 1970 XS1 650 dec 1969. Traded it in in 1972 for a new XS2 650 ( disk brake and electric start). 1977 SR500, 1983 Venture Standard bought in 1986.Kept it until 1993. A couple more XS 650 (late 70's early 80's). After the 83 Venture I bought a 1986 Venture Royale in 1993, a 1987 Venture Royale in 2003( still have) a 1988 Royale in 2004, 2008 RSTD new (wrecked 2011) 2008 RSVS in 2011 (wrecked 2011) now on a Spyder. Other then the last picture of my 86 none of the bikes shown were mine, just examples from the internet Edited by Pegasus1300

My first bike was an XS400 Yamaha. I had a Yamaha Vision and a Yamaha Radian. I now have a 2013 RSV. I wanted one of the original 750 Virago's bad, but they were too pricey for me at the time. I had some Harley, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki bikes too.
