Nemo Posted March 19, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 19, 2016 Both lowers on my '99 RSV are cracked. Do any of you know of these for sale? They are what I call reddish purple in color. Owen.
eagleeye Posted March 19, 2016 Share #2 Posted March 19, 2016 Are they cracked on the bottom or somewhere you can see the crack? You can fix those cracks quite easily you know.
BratmanXj Posted March 20, 2016 Share #3 Posted March 20, 2016 ABS Plumbing glue works on MOST motorcycle plastics. I've repaired a crack in my lower caused by a stray bird and still holding strong 2 yrs later. Just fixed the side covers on a friends '85 Suzuki Madura as well. Eck Posted March 20, 2016 Share #4 Posted March 20, 2016 (edited) Add a small piece of basic house window screen in the ABS glue Spread the glue on first over / around the repair area surface. Add the piece of screen that fits over BOTH sides of the crack Add a little more glue over the screen using a popsicle stick or a small piece of plastic and push the glue into the screen and smear it over the top of the screen. It sure helps strengthen the repair!! Edited March 20, 2016 by Eck
eusa1 Posted March 21, 2016 Share #5 Posted March 21, 2016 Tommy @turtle here on the site is an active member and does a great color match and repair on the plastic for our machines, and has one of my spare sets of lowers that he may be able to fix you up with?
