toure classic squeaky forks

Recommended Posts

put a jack under the right front cast iron floor board support and jack it up until the forks are fully extended and the front wheel is just off the ground.

leaving the rear wheel and kick stand to support the bike...

now clean all the bugs and debris that has collected between the top and bottom half of the forks where they telescope together.

then return with your report.

Another thought, just thinking out loud here.. Maybe the springs are sacked enough that they are actually rubbing against the wall of the fork.. Possibly time for some Progressives... Or,, maybe they dont have enough Fork Oil in them and you are just hearing springs work...

Any history of fluid loss? When was the last time you swapped out the fork oil?
