Wrote some of this in another discussion but thought it might help someone gear up for a trip.

What do you all carry?

This I what I carry and "KEEP" in my Bunkhouse camper: (that way the only thing I need to get for my trips are the suitcase and food.)

Battery powered LED light

Small $100 AC

Ceramic heater

Fan

Heavy duty extension cord with 3 outlets.

aluminum stand folding (I use under ceramic heater)

2 identical sleeping bags and zip them together.

Pillow

2 Coleman propane burners and tanks.

Coleman pot and skillet kit

$.97 Spoon/Fork/Spatula (Wallmart)

Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder

Plastic forks, knifes and spoons $4 for 100 count (Wallmart)

Paper plates

Paper Towels

Toilet Paper

Dawn dish washing liquid, sponge with scotch bright.

5 day Coleman Extreme Cooler on wheels. keep small containers for condiments in fridge

axe, knife and Fishing pole

Bic long stem butane lighter

Newspapers for fire starter

Laptop computer

$5.88 urinal(Wallmart)

Folding chair (Wallmart) I got the 350lb. capacity cause its so roomy and comfy

Small nylon rope to hang wet clothes to dry

2 coat hangers

Garbage bags

Milk Crate

2 gallons gas

Ratchet straps

Keep in a separate bag(Old helmet bag): Bar Soap in plastic container, Towel, washcloth and water shoes for shower(flipflops aren't for me), toiletry bag dental floss, tooth brush toothpaste, deodorant, brush... That way when you head for the shower it's all in one place and you don't forget something...

Steel drinking cup (allows you to warm coffee up on the strove)

Will add to list as I remember...but this is a good start.

Need:

small LED headlamp

Great list Joe and very helpful. Just got a Time Out camper, which is a great improvement over the old Travel Lite I have and hope to do more camping this year.

One of the frustrations on camping is wet towels. One of the tricks I do is using a good thick wash cloth, when I finish my shower I will rinse my wash clouth real good and then squeeze it as dry as I can and use it as a towel and then squeeze it again. Then, when I am done, I will use a light towel to get dry. This way, I will have a wash cloth and a light towel that will dry easy.
