djh3 Posted September 4, 2014 Share #3 Posted September 4, 2014 I just went thru 3 weeks of having a bike here at my house that did the same thing. Bad part was it was very intermittent. I went up to his house and thought I had it fixed. 3 weeks later he calls and says it wont start. Then a day or so later he said it starts. Long story, he brought it down and I kept the bike for 3 weeks. I did everything from the very simple, remove ground wires and clean and battery connections to OHM out the clutch switch and starter relay etc. Start with the easy stuff. Clean both the battery connections at the battery and also the ground on the motor. Clean the connections on the starter relay and check the main fuse while your in that area. jemorrisonjr Posted September 8, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted September 8, 2014 Can someone tell me where the starter relay is located???? Need to test it
Neil86 Posted September 8, 2014 Share #5 Posted September 8, 2014 The starter relay (aka solenoid) is behind the black plastic cover above the riders left passenger floorboard. You have to remove floorboard and cover. The main fuse for the bike is integral with the relay.
