Spherical drive motorcycle

I think the ray-gun on the front is a nice touch - finally a great way to deal with the cagers.

I believe the 'ray-gun' you refer to is actually one of the six drive motors.

There are 2 visible on the rear wheel and one on more on left of front wheel.

Wonder what recommended air pressure will be. Seems like it would need rather solid wheels for the drive motors to engage firmly.

One of our company motto's at Emerson is 'Its never been done before' sometimes the reply is that there is probably a reason its never been done before.

Let me get this straight,

It's suppose to stand up on it's own.

It can move in any direction.

Since it can stand up on it's own, there would be no need for handlebars that turn or leaning into a turn.

What keeps the rider from being spit off like riding a mechanical bull?? Passenger restraints???

I wonder what a new set of tires on that thing would cost. When you design a better mousetrap it should offer advantages to the old mousetrap. Not sure I want a motorcycle to go sideways

The wheels are computer mouse track ball's in reverse (ie, motors instead of sensors).

I think I've seen this done before (not as a motorcycle though).
