kj5ix Posted March 13, 2012 Share #29 Posted March 13, 2012 You have to crack the case ( rear plate ) which is a big PIA cause the rear end is mounted to the frame,,,, or suck it out with an oil sucker..... I think it was mentioned while I was there at the factory once that somewhere between 100 to 150 K for the change. when was the last time ya changed the rear end lube on your truck,,,,,,,,,,, :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I still think it is the middle bike tubes tho.. my vent tube on the top of the diff has no pinches. if this is what he means. and that is about right the 1-1/4 below the fill hole. so thats good. and if it is still there after 3 years it has to be the other tubes. Jeff, The diff oil should be about 1.25" below the fill hole, It looks like youmay have had a leak at one time, you may check the vent tube to see if itmay have a pinched place on it.
