I want to remove the carb from my 83 because the jets are plugged. I cant get the lines loose on it because its cold out, and i dont want to ruin any of the rubber hoses. Whats a good way to get the hoses off without tearing them? I was thinking about some penetrating oil, WD 40, or a hair drier. What are some suggestions that you guys have that could possibly help me. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

Just make sure you have the gas petcock turned off and a fire estinguisher close by...:whistling:

probably not much danger doing it with a hair dryer but I'm thinkng some well placed hot water(say from a tea kettle) would be a lot safer.

OR

My wife bought this little steamer deal for under $20... and would definately warm up a cold hose....
