Tnventurer Posted December 17, 2007 Share #1 Posted December 17, 2007 OK, I turned the gas off to my house , to remove some gas appliances , and well Now my furnace wont come on, So ya ll will know it has a spark starter kind of like a grill. chabicheka Posted December 17, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 17, 2007 i dont know if they all work the same way....but mine, i have to light it with a lighter ( flame) and as i light it, i have to keep the 'on' 'off' knob pressed down for about a minute, then let go and turn it 'on' all the way. its turned half way when lighting, keeping the knob pressed down. good luck. BOO Posted December 17, 2007 Share #4 Posted December 17, 2007 Sounds like you have air in the line. You can break a fitting loose to let the air out and when you smell the gas coming out tighten the fitting, but if you don't know what you are doing this could be dangerious.
