Our son was over there last year and we are so very thankful he returned home safe. So many, as you said, have not. Even one is too many to lose. We are proud of the job they do and their service to their country. Just wish they could do it at home.

The sad part is that that is what is on my mind when escorting a sendoff, how many of these young men and women will not make it home. This is a reality that we as a country face together. It saddens everyone of us, weather we admit it or not. We loose to many true Americans like this. Shaun

With over 350+ Patriot Guard Missions done it still tears me up to see these young Hero's paying the ultimate sacrifice. I pray for all....and also an end to all conflicts that put our young men and women in death's path.

I am stationed at Bagram Air Field Afghanistan. I have seen first hand the results of the IED's and RPG's that our troops face every time they go out side the wire. I was at Forward Operating Base FOB Shank for 9 months and saw more there and took incoming more there than here at Bagram.

I have a son at FOB Shank with the 82nd Airborne. He works on helicopters, and is scheduled to return to Ft. Bragg in September after a year over there. I am anxiously waiting his safe trip home.
