skydoc_17 Posted July 15, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 15, 2010 Hey Rick, A set of Carbs, from an 88'VR can be used on an 83'VR, the main jets are larger, and the bore in the Carb. Body is larger. With adjustments, They can be made to work. If you are asking can you replace one Carb. from your 83'VR with a Carb. from an 88'VR, the answer is, NO.
