Rottdoglover Posted October 28, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2008 I just bought a 88 Venture. Love it but the air ride does not work and the display shows NOTHING. Pulled the white plug and checked all conections No voltage anywhere. Any ideas. Also, has anyone ever relaced the CLASS with manual gauges and switches? May sound lo-tech but Po' boys got lo-bucks. 93 venture Posted October 28, 2008 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2008 Did you check for power with the key switch in the acc. positions? only time it has power to the Class,also the fuse box is a weak point on these bikes,the glass fuse holders will get weak and wont hold the fuse tight enought to make contact. ( glass type fuse's ) " ACC " " Head " "Ignition " " Signal " " Tail " You have a second fuse holder unit, located forward, and a little right of the Battery, which has. ( 4 ATM type fuses inside. ) " Back - up" ( for the audio system) " Audio, CB " " Fan " " Hazard " The Class Fuse Holder, is a Seperate Unit, with just One fuse inside ( wires going into and out of this holder, are Red/Blue Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It worked miracles on the CLASS unit I was working on, and wasn't that hard to to. When we bought it, it was still wired for the class to operate ONLY in the "ACC" key position. This is so you can't air the shocks while riding as the owners manual says to have NO weight on the bike when doing this. Since ours is triked w/ rear air bags, we wanted to monitor & adjust air pressure while going down the road like the Goldwing trikes do. So I hooked a wire to the input of the class fuse from the accessory positive terminal in the fuse box on top of the battery. Now we can monitor and control the air system while riding. cabreco Posted August 28, 2013 Share #9 Posted August 28, 2013 Spent 20 minutes today following the E4 error, CLASS fix write up. Pretty simple fix, works like a dream. Funny though, the solders didn't look bad enough to be a connectvity issue. Anyway, Thanks to the writer & all of you who pointed me to it!
