We are visiting our home resort of Massanutten in Virginia. We trailered the bike up with us and yesterday rode the Skyline Drive...what a great ride! Was going to post photos, but I cannot seem to get them down to the size that will upload.

The great folks at our host hotel - the Skyline - have offered to hang our VentureRider banner - welcoming all of us. So the question - do we have one, if so where is it, etc. We would like to get it (if possible) to the hotel by Sat. July 23. The owners at the Skyline are starting to get excited to see us all again, and are being extremly helpful in assisting us while we are there. My friend and I will be spending about 4-5 days touring the Shenandoah Valley from our base in McGaheysville, VA. Looking for some good side trips even as far as the Chesapeake Bay area. Our wifes are on their own trips and we're looking for some quality Bike time. Any good suggestion for stops, food, etc? We will probably spend a day on the Blue Ridge (Skyline Drive), then whatever strikes us. I'm coming from Lower AL and will meet him in Chattanooga. I may ride from Chattanooga depending on the weather or will trailer to The Summit at Massanutten in VA and ride from there. Any thoughts? Thanks!

We are finalizing the plans for our upcoming trip and have a few questions regarding the Shenandoah Valley, riding Skyline Drive from Front Royal south to the Blue Ridge Parkway, then to the southern end of the BRP. We will be coming from Cape Charles VA to Fredricksburg, then Front Royal. Any suggestions regarding the travel from Cape Charles to Front Royal? How long should we expect to spend on these portions of the trip... How much time does it take to make the run down Skyline Drive? Any tips on points of interest during this section? We would like to take our time, riding leisurely, enjoying the views, and tent camping along the way during this part of the trip. Internet access in the evenings will be desired. How much time should we allow for the portion of the trip down the BRP? Same as above, any points of interest and camping suggestions. Randya recommended Carolina Hemlocks Park, which sounds great, but we would like some additional suggestions just in case the timing does not work out. Thanks! Don
