Is there a problem with old o-rings blowing out in main galley from oil filter(common problem with old vmax,s). What oil pressure gauges are you running? Venturous Randy Posted June 15, 2013 Share #3 Posted June 15, 2013 When I pulled my 83 apart and swapped to an 86 trans, I had the problem of the orange 0-ring coming out. The way I fixed my problem was to put it back together and used safety wire to hold the galley securely in place. What causes this is to rev the engine when it is cold. The galley is not real rigid and will lift a little allowing the 0-ring to slip out some. You don't want to run an oil pressure gauge on these engines unless you want to see about zero pressure when idling hot. RandyA Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
