alvald83 Posted February 25, 2012 Share #1 Posted February 25, 2012 During my bike cleaning today i decided to try to clean the clutch sight glass. I used a screw driver to lightly scrape away the thick oxidation. Then the problem, fluid began to leak from the center of the glass. Can i repair this with sometype of glue or adhesive. Marcarl Posted February 25, 2012 Share #2 Posted February 25, 2012 There is a glue some guys have used to fix this, I can't remember the name of it right now, but you will have to remove the sight glass to do it properly. muaymendez1 Posted February 26, 2012 Share #5 Posted February 26, 2012 I did that on an old master cyl that was really coroded.I removed the clear glass (plastic) ,a us dime fit snug and I put jb weld inside and around.No signs of the brake fluid attacking the jb weld after 2 years Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

van avery Posted February 26, 2012 Share #10 Posted February 26, 2012 I have not tried this stuff on that but "Rapid-Fix" is some of the best stuff I ever used for bonding things together. The bond is almost instant and hard. I have used it to make a new wooden post on the side faring connection and stuck it to the plactic and have a very hard bond. It's about $22 at the auto parts store. It's a two part system with liquid "Like super glue on Steriods" and then a powder in another bottle when you but together it's hard and tough.
