Blue Ridge Parkway

Riding over to Roanoke on the 18th. Will spend the night in that area getting ready

to ride south on the parkway. Hope to take in Mount Airy and ride the police car,

stop by Boone Nc to visit our son, who is a Army Recruiter in Boone. Have been wanting

to do this ride for a few years now.

we just finished the blue ridge in may......there are some detours , but they are well marked

Last Labor day week I rode down from Mass to Fl via Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway had the best weather and camped out every night I have pics if you would like to see them. I want to go back this Labor Day week it is a great ride saw lots of deer and wild turkeys.

kepp us up to date as to where you will be at aproximately what time. The wife and I don't live all that far away from the parkway and love to ride it. Who knows, maybe we can make it up for a small M&E.

Also went down through there in May, did the whole Parkway in two days. Be aware that if the weather is crappy, you'll want to stick to lower ground. We experienced fog that made the third bike in front of you all but invisible, including the 4-way flashers. Good time though!
