wm.butler Posted March 3, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2009 I got a factory pro jet kit for my RSV Gen 2. It is CRB-Y92-1.0 part number. Have any of you guys or ladies installed one of these? Just looking for some feedback and or tips. I know I have to dis-assemble tank and remove carbs. How big of a project is this & is it worth it? Someone told me I may need to do this several times until I get the right jet combination. The bike does have Samson slash cut mufflers. Is it worth doing? pegscraper Posted March 3, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2009 The first time taking the carbs out is the worst. The second or third times go pretty quickly. Don't see much point in a jet kit though. Was it running badly before? Slip on mufflers don't make enough change to need to rejet.
Freebird Posted March 3, 2009 Share #3 Posted March 3, 2009 I agree....I see no reason at all to re-jet. The people that I've talked to that have tried it have ended up going back to stock jets. That being said, here are a couple of links in the tech library that might help.
