86 VR Posted August 19, 2006 Share #1 Posted August 19, 2006 Hey Fellow Ventureriders! I own an '86 VR. My head set speakers sound BAD (tinney, rattles, etc.). Does anyone have any suggestions on speaker replacement? Thanks
mother Posted August 23, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 23, 2006 i went to a local automotive store and bought some KOSS headphones. they were the type with the band up and over the head for 8.99, brought them home and with an exacto knife, i removed the plastic headband piece without cutting the wires. i contact cemented velcro dots to the inside of my full face helmet and to the back side of the headphone speakers. stick em on or remove em. they sound great. Cheers, Scott

Cheers, Scott Now I have to ask, how did you tie them into the original headset wires on the RSV? Or do you just listen to a portable with these?
