Instrument cluster ....Illumination control

I've removed the instrument cluster and can't get the face off until I remove the Illumination control. Anyone know how to remove the control ? Does it just pull off or what ????

There is a small philips screw in the center of the knob that must be removed Jim, then the knob pulls off.

Thanks Neil. That's a great tid bit of information. I've posed this question several years ago and didn't get any responses. The problem was I couldn't see good enough to figure out what...or if anything... was down inside that hole in the knob. I had a hard time finding a phillips that would fit, and I have a lot of them. What I did find that would fit was a small slotted screwdriver with a tapered tip. With it I could get a bite on something, and unscrewed what ever is in there?? When I finally did get the screw out it was as you said. I small phillips with a lot of dirt packed in the cross hatch..

I find having a set of those small screwdriver kits for electronics from Radio Shack is handy.
