Yamaha32088 Posted September 29, 2020 Share #1 Posted September 29, 2020 Hello everyone, I just purchased a 1988 Venture Royale with a side car. Is there anywhere I can get a set of stainless steel brake lines for it? It already has them but the one for the front right caliper snapped off at the caliper. I haven't had much luck looking for a kit so I am hoping someone here knows a kit that cross references or knows the lengths that I need.

Marcarl Posted September 29, 2020 Share #3 Posted September 29, 2020 Is the line integrated with the banjo, or is the banjo screwed on the line?
Yamaha32088 Posted September 29, 2020 Author Share #4 Posted September 29, 2020 Is the line integrated with the banjo, or is the banjo screwed on the line? The line and banjo are separate at the caliper. I haven't looked higher up near the master, I just know that the back brake seems to control the front brakes too which is a new one for me. If the banjo is screwed onto the line, maybe you could do with just a replacement banjo. And Yes! OEM is that the left front and the rear brakes are linked. Some guys have changed that, others leave them be.

The banjo bolt is fine, the brake line is snapped right at the fitting so the entire brake line needs replaced.
SpencerPJ Posted September 30, 2020 Share #7 Posted September 30, 2020 You could always just patch a piece in. Cutting and flaring the ends is pretty easy task. Places like Autozone would have a loaner tool and probably the fittings you need.
