Venturous Randy Posted March 24, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 24, 2020 This is an old video and I am sure many have seen it, but for those of us bored at home, it is worth watching. Randy

N3FOL Posted March 24, 2020 Share #4 Posted March 24, 2020 The thrill of 'Living On The Edge'. Impressive I should say. His tires should get the recognition.

dueyk1111 Posted March 26, 2020 Share #6 Posted March 26, 2020 reminds me of the fun i had 3 years ago when i went! loved every minute of it in that area. had probably 20 roads like that, that i rode on! would love to go back again. the moonshiner 28, rattler, diamond back, devils triangle, and the blue ridge parkway to just name a few. absolutely love those kind of roads, look for them all the time. ride wisconsin's little tail of the dragon at least twice a year. found alot of other roads like that in wisconsin too! Which road in WI do you call the little tail? I have alot of nice backroads to ride around in my area also. I have a ride to the Smokies planned for late May/early June, but I'm afraid it might get cancelled.
djh3 Posted March 27, 2020 Share #8 Posted March 27, 2020 While skilled, luck was with him a great deal. The last 2 times I was on the Dragon I met semi's. One time I was in pretty much a straighter section and he still crowded me. The second and last time I was leaving the restaurant at the bottom and first curve a big rig ran me off the road on the RSV. Some nice folks helped me gather up my bike and nerves and get back going. It ended my nice day of riding. I turned around and went back to where I was staying. I looked up the photo guy and found the truck and company. i emailed them and called and never got so much as a sorry we damn near killed you. No more Dragon for me until they figure out how to ban big trucks off there.

Pasta Burner Posted March 28, 2020 Share #10 Posted March 28, 2020 Thats Impressive to say the least. I've ridden the Dragon and I had more fun driving my pickup with the bike in the bed. Too crowded. I do know that there are some locals (we rented a house from some for the week) who try to escort the semi trucks and warn oncoming traffic, but that is out of the goodness of their heart and can't catch them all. I had the most fun on the Cherohala Skyway.
