    Default Code 90

Noticed code 90 showing up where milage usually does when turning bike off via kill switch after ride into work this morning.

Powering off and on made it go away.

    Any idea what this means?

You can check the Service manual page 7-84. The manual is here. https://www.venturerider.org/manuals...vicemanual.pdf. 'No Normal signals from the switch are received by the ECU.'

I believe that is the code that some people are getting when one of the cruise switches start to fail. Your dealer should be able to fix you up

Is this becoming a known thing with this bike?

I have 14,000 miles on my Star Venture and have had zero issues. Some guys may be washing their bikes with a pressure washer and getting water into the switches. Not a known issue.......yet.

I'm at about 23k miles. Bike has not been anywhere near a pressure washer.

ABS light is also coming on. Will give the warranty a test drive with the dealer.

Code 90 is one of the cruise control switches. This is a common issue. Dealer will replace the front or back or both brake switches.Yamaha knows about this.
