Jake Posted April 3, 2016 Share #1 Posted April 3, 2016 Greeting's, I have an interested party attorney that would like to know how many times both in & out of warranty any of you have replaced your rear shock absorber, both OEM & aftermarket on your 1999 to present Royal Star Venture. There may be cause or claim to a class action suit against Yamaha for intentionally producing a defective product. Thank's and fell free to pm me with any question's. Mike G in SC Posted April 11, 2016 Share #8 Posted April 11, 2016 Both my 2006 RSTD and 2009 RSV had them replaced under warranty. (I got a great dealer, Extreme Sports Yamaha, Sumter, SC. Service spotted they were leaking when doing a rear tire and ordered the part before I knew it.) Still running both bikes on the replacements so far. utadventure Posted April 12, 2016 Share #10 Posted April 12, 2016 I have a '99 and I'm confident that it has been replaced, as there is no longer a schrader valve for the rear shock. Dave
