Rear Tire wear (Venture Midnight)

Recommended Posts

The rear tire on my Venture Midnight got a bit ahead of me and I replaced it. This was several weeks ago. Just browsing my pics today, I noticed much more wear on one side. The tire is long gone and I have no idea now which side this would've been.

Any thoughts on the 'abnormal' wear? I live in Roanoke, VA and do a lot of mountain stuff, so in my opinion for every left turn there is a right turn.

BTW

As an aside, I went from this to "the Dark Side", but that's another post!

Thanks to you all. Sorry about the late response. I didn't have email notifications on!

Jim: I figured it had to do with road pitch, but wasn't sure. Thanks.

Jay: I got a Cooper Tire. Don't remember if its a 165 or 155-80-15

I've got another ride or two till I hit 1000 miles on it. I'll do a separate post with reaction and pics then.

Thanks guys!

Besides crown of the road to left,,,, was a good article a couple of years ago that pointed out that on American roads you are traveling more miles by leaning left that right (not political).

Think about radius of turns and,, it makes sense. And opposite is true in Great Britton.
