I have seen post this week about snow and winter. Here is one way I pass time away in the winter. When my honey do's are done. OnaQwest put together video of a trip him and his wife did this year. I uploaded a new video to youtube. Now here's the 'backstory'. Years ago..I was friends with a fella who used to ride motorcycles. Then he got married, and they had a little girl. No more bike. But! One day, his little 10 or 11 year old girl looked at my bike...a 95 Sportster and seemed kindve intrigued. I dont remember if she asked, or if he did, but somehow, I took this little girl on her first, and it turns out, her ONLY motorcycle ride. Well...here it is years later, and the little girl is all grown up and hosting a morning show on a local TV station in Amarillo Texas. I ran into her awhile back, and we chatted for a bit. Then I managed to snag this video of her off the air, and got permission to post it on youtube. She's in her mid-twenties now, and quite a charming and lovely young woman...persuing a degree in mass communications. Her name is Meredith Keller, and she's from Plainview, where I live. I sent her the link to this video...so why not help me get the view-count up? Remember...when she was about 10 (or 11) years old...she was a 'biker chick' for about 5 minutes! My wife and I just returned from what is probably our last trip of the year. We left for the Amana Colonies yesterday morning at 0700 and just now returned. It was a nice short trip, (515 miles), but most of the fall leaves have already fallen. We took our new LITTLE MD80 video camera with us and clipped it to my wife's dew rag. I am anxious to see the videos to see how they turned out. I will post them to YouTube if they come out okay. We took our Roadstar trailer so we could load up on wine, beer and Root Bear. I averaged 34mpg at approx. 75 to 80mph. - Better than usual. The bike ran great. But I will have to check the heater out. It didn't seem to work as well this trip. Craigr

First a warning, this video is 9:42 seconds long and not terribly exciting. It's simply me testing the video capabilities of my iPhone mounted to the bike with a Ram mount. Still, it's kinda neat. Makes you feel like you're riding. The wavy-ness of the video I've since confirmed, is due to shooting through the windscreen. Take a look/listen and if the stereo isn't too loud, is that other sound the ibasket whine or, just a chirp? This is the longer version, I think...
