I enjoy laughing with friends when I show them the hi-tech electronics on my 07 Venture, namely the cass player. A friend today said that they should just make it a ipod docking station. That really makes sense to me since yamaha would not need to remake the entire faring as they would with a CD player. I would send this idea to Yamaha but the R&D dept doesn't want to talk to the Venture owners because they don't even have a email address on the Yamaha site. We all know that they must think they have created the perfect bike because nothing changes over the years.

Possilbe bad Switch on my Yamaha Passing Lamps

Has anyone had trouble with the little switch on the Yamaha Passing Lamps for an '05 RSTD. If so, what, and how, was the problem resolved. Thanks in advance. -
I was tooling through the J and P cycles book the other day.. came across a different carb cover than what Yamaha offers... anyone ever put one on the bike?

Does any one have a leather tank pane for a 2006 rstd. I brought one from yamaha and I cant get it to fit.

ok yall help me out here....can anyone tell me what purpose is the y.i.c.s chamber for and what does it do. when i got my 1st gen. venture 1 of the nipples was broke off and no kind of epoxy would hold it on. yamaha says that its an obsolete part, and i finally got 1 from pinwall cycle but im just wondering what its for.

Brake Bleeder If you have ever gotten air in the rear brake system of a 83-85 Venture you know how tuff it is to get it out again. This is a simple fix, well maybe not that simple. In 1986-93 Ventures Yamaha fixed the problem by adding a short extension to the left front brake hose Part # 2WR-25873-01-00. The end of the hose was mounted on the top of the triple tree with a small bracket. This hose Must be ordered from Yamaha Japan . There are two other parts, NUT 95306-12600-00 & bleeder assembly Part # 1NL-W0048-00. It was $105 for the hose from Yamaha. But if you can find it in a junk yard it will be a lot cheaper and you will get all three parts. It is a little tuff to get the Banjo bolt out and back in because it attaches to the proportioning valve almost hidden under the top bar on the triple tree see Pic 01, the hose routing see Pic 02. http://www.venturerider.org/brakebleeder/image003.jpg http://www.venturerider.org/brakebleeder/image002.jpg Picture 1 Picture 2 This would be an excellent project for those winter months when you aren't riding. We would have been totally lost on our trip last fall with out these bags. Yamaha sells these as well, but they cost more from Yamaha. Cruiser Backrest has aftermarket saddlebag liners, trunk liners and trunk rack bags that fit the RSV to perfection. The prices are good and their service is great.
