Just curious, I noticed many members have the weather underground personal weather station stickers on their threads. How do I add that? I have a personal weather station here on Camano Island WA that provides excellent weather info, http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KWACAMAN6

My friend's desire to ride sometimes outweighs his common sense. We always argue over who has the best weather source. My weather man predicted this. His called for no precip. At least he made it home safely. http://www.raymondstacy.com/davebike.jpg

started working on the Trike today. weather was in the high 40's today so I figured what the heck. Wasn't to bad in the garage. I moved the trunk back, it was really easy Took the 6 hold down bolts out, move it to the rear bolt holes, retightened. Took about 15 minutes. I have the same set up for the trunk as the 2 wheel version RSV. Then I figured since the weather is still pretty good I might as well change out the muffler. This took the rest of the day. Went from a set of noisy Sampson fish tails to a very nice sounding set of 05 RK's. A lot quietier, but still has a nice low rumble and a good bark when you get on it. My neighbors must have thought I was nuts, cause by the time I finished the install the weather went to heck. Temp dropped into the 30's with snow flurries, but there I was, riding up an down the road making noise. Sure felt good, even if it was for only a couple of minutes.

My son is out in Sasketewan just north of North Dakota I believe. They are somewhere near minus 40 out there. He says the truck he is driving ( 1993 Dodge Dakota oddly) is making a lot of creaks and growls when moving. I assume the suspention and maybe the tires, from what he has told me. We, and the truck, are used to wonderful west coast weather not freezing cold like they have out there.... that being said it is about 20 degrees F with a foot of snow on the ground here, the coldest we have seen in a decade or so. You guys out there think it is just the grease and joints on the old beast freezing up on her? Was there something I should have been doing to the beast before the kid took her out there? Lighter gear oils? Differant greases? Differental oils? It is a 4X4. I usualy have a good idea when it comes to automotive questions but the cold experiance is new to me. Thoughts? Will it eas up as it warms up? Thanks guys

So when is the gas light supposed to go on.This is the longest ive ridden on reserve. Was I safe for a few more miles? Gas was so expensive today that I didnt top off so I dont know how many gallons I used. The weekend was great weather and I refused ti full up any of my vehicles with a30 cent hike per gallon.

Well, sent out an email to 30 local riders to join in on a New Years Day ride. Sunday moring 11 bikes showed up. Weather was great in the high 40's. Left Albuquerque and road to Santa Fe for lunch and conversation. Returned via The East side of the Sandia Mtns, through Cerrillos, Madrid (Wild Hogs Movie Fame) and Golden. Stopped several times to enjoy the New Year and great weather we are having after a couple of 1 and 2 foot snows. Glad to be able to start the new year off right as we try to get together at least one weekend a month to ride in the area. Can see a great riding season on the horizon this summer. Hope to post, up coming weekend trips, so anyone in the area can join in. Any way Happy New Year! 2012 riding season has started.

Ok i answered a post asking what you recieved for Christmas so it sparked this idea. My bad gifts were A Zebra print Snuggie A Zebra print knit hat with tassles A Orange corrections color sweatshirt( For those times I may sweep the highway?) Expired chocolate, and a weather station? You connect the transmitter to the pc and the reciever shows you the weather on an LCD Screen. You have to have your pc on though which defeats the purpose of having this item . Who wants to trade some gifts?

Looks like we are getting good weather here. Going to take the bike out on a Christmas ride!

This has been a good fall (weather wise) for riding. At least it has been for me here in the great state of Arkansas.... I haven't been around this site very long but it seems there aren't many ride reports with pics. I for one enjoy reading about member rides and seeing the pictures from other areas. Here are a few pics from a recent ride up hwy 7 and a stop on the little red river. Show us your fall pics...................later, yammer 2k1

Has anyone had any issues on the Tagalong trailer letting water leak in between the top and the tub? Just wondering if I should add some weather stripping around that area where they mate together!

Anyone going to Daytona this weekend...now it's 4 official days....lots of bikers in town and alot more headed this way....supposed to be great weather..anyone?

The weather is a little cool, but that doesn't appear to be slowing them down. Several are here and enjoying the 70 degree weather. Not a bad turnout for the fall week and a city that doesn't want to be biker friendly. Could have fooled me.

As I was leaving the UPS store this afternoon, I spotted a 1st Gen pulling in an adjacent parking lot. I got there in time to meet Mike, who had not long ago rescued an 85 VR. It had been sitting out in the weather for a number of years. He has it LOOKING GOOD!!! HE said he has been a "guest" here and is considering joining. Good to meet you, Mike!!! Hope you stick around!!! Walter

Hi guys, I purchased two MOSFET R/R's a while back in the group buy along w/the weather proof connectors. Put one R/R on my '83 Vison. It's great. Now I am putting the other on my 87 Royale. Well, I buggered up one of the metal terminals that are to be used w/OEM weather proof connector. Seems after 30 years in electronics I still make mistakes. I like the weather proof connectors. I checked Eastern Beaver electrics for the parts. I only need a $.59 metal terminal. But, they have a $20 minimum order. Again, I want to use the weather proof connector assembly. So, does anyone have spare metal ternimals for this connector type or knows where to get them w/o a $20 min. order? Thanks in advance...Jason

We are leaving Idaho tomorrow morning and heading toward the Saw Tooth Mountain. Hope to get back to Houston, Texas in about 4 or 5 days. We are going to take our time. Had a great vacation here enjoying the cooler weather. Was going to leave today but it is our anniversary, so we decided to have a good steak dinner before we left. Hal n Val

or or better yet, when will it arrive? I'm talking about SUMMER! (our forecast for the next few days...) This kinda weather is happening all over. The cherry crops in the Okanagan are at least 2 weeks late and they're saying it will be a slow harvest lasting into mid Aug. I sure hope we hit some good weather by the end of next week when we head for CODY!!! (and that is stays for a while)

Ok, I know we don't have a lot of members from the Norfok, NE area but maybe someone has better access to weather information than I do. Weather channel says severe thunderstorms and high winds in that area tonight. So here's my issue. My daughter in working at a fireworks stand with friends in Norfolk, NE this weekend. We have been texting back forth over the weekend and staying in touch. She was supposed to be headed home this evening. A while ago she sent a text that the wind was coming up real bad and hail was beating the hell out of the tent. She said people had talked about a tornado. The next text was the tent had gone down and everthing was gone. That was the last text I got and no response since. Anybody able to find any info on the situation there? I'm packing up to head that way shorty if I don't hear from her soon but it's a couple hours ride up there in nasty weather. Like to know what I'm headed into. The reason I'm asking here is I am deaf and not able to jump on the phone. Thanks. Mike
