I was thinking about getting one of these. 120 Amp MIG/Flux Wire Welder with Wheels from Harbor Freight. I've never welded before. Is welding something that one can learn from a home video or should one attend a class or should it be left to someone that has been welding for a few years.

A little over 6 years ago my brother-in-law started a motorcycle club in Franklin Indiana. 9 of use went together an got a old house. Last year we had a garage built for we could work on our motorcycles and build a few of them. Well last weekend we had another MC club take us in to there club that has been around Indianapolis since 1968. No they are not 1%er. Here is a video of ride to patch over. Okay folks. Yesterday I posted the video that my brother did of our 2010 ride. He just FTPd the 2009 ride video to me, and with his gracious consent - here it is. Only three of us that year as we had all intended to get together on the New South Wales North Coast at Brunswick Heads but heavy rains and floods made the roads impassable. We did get there in 2010 - that's the 2010 video. Instead we headed to Tamworth where it was reasonably dry and we visited out sister. This year, she did a five days ride with us to Bunya Mountains in Queensland. That video is yet to come. As they say in the classics, "Watch this space." Enjoy. Was fascinated by the 3rd wheel and how it worked, but also was not expecting in the video to see that the Intruder 1500 had a reverse gear. Pretty cool! The video sound quality is really goofy, but it's a very interesting customized bike. I am helping a friend whose husband died last year (riding his Goldwing) to sell his "other" bike - - a 1991 750 Intruder - - and was scanning eBay to see if any were for sale and what they were going for. Didn't find any, so if you have any insight into these things, I'd appreciate the feedback. It's in good shape and has 37,402 miles on it. Just about 100% stock. KBB says it's worth about $1,200 in trade, so I'm guessing it might be worth $1,600-$1,800 in a private sale. I'll post pics next week after I get it to my place.

Okay folks, for the last couple of months I have been swamped with work/travel (mostly for work) so I started slacking off on my attempts to locate these videos and keep them moving. But to be quite honest with ya'll, un-answered PMs, e-mails and phone calls weren't helping either. For those of you that got back to me with the information you did have, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, as for the rest of you that I contacted - I am rather disappointed that you could not take the time to send me a quick note back. Regardless, out of respect for the folks that have been on this list for a ridiculously long time, patiently waiting to view and pass on as agreed by requesting to be on this list, I would appreciate if whoever currently has copies of these would do the following: 1) First and foremost - POST TO THE ORIGINAL THREAD (HERE... CLICK ME CLICK ME!) indicating that you have a copy of the video and when you will be passing it on. 2) Look at the list and figure out if it is accurate as to where you are on it - if not, then in the post that you make for #1, indicate how it ought to be changed (that is either: (a) You have seen the video and passed it on (note who you passed it to as well), (b) you HAVE a copy of the video, © have been contacted by the previous viewer and will receive it). 3) Please be considerate and follow these simple guidelines to be fair to everyone else. What I really hope is that the videos have been making their rounds according to the order listed on the original thread and that folks have just not been updating that they have it and have sent it to **whomever you sent it to**, and that we are making our way through it - but don't worry, I'm not holding my breath on that one.
