  1. My girlfriend and I have started a motovlog (motorcycle vlog) aboard our 2004 RSMV, called Roadship Venture. I'd love if some of you checked it out and gave your thoughts. Future episodes will be shorter because we had a lot to cover in the first installment, but if you dig it please subscribe and share! https://youtu.be/cGNrkosKcMA
  2. Hi all, Being a lucky dog, I got in the mail the Sena Bluetooth communicator with the built in video/still camera. It is now a permanent fixture on my everyday helmet. No more one handed photos using my $700 iPhone ! @cowpuc has a lifelong photographer on the back but not all of us have a dedicated pillion like "Tip". This Sena unit is all it is cracked up to be! I hope you enjoy the read. Comments are always welcome https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2021/03/26/sena-10c-evo-review-motorcycle-bluetooth-intercom-camera-combo/ VentureFar...
  3. Hi all, I contacted two dash cam manufacturers to do a comparison review of a high priced and a low priced unit. I struggled with the planning of how to hook up two sets of cameras. I channeled my inner @cowpuc and got it figured out. Then the fun began with taking rides and then reviewing video to find good comparison photos. Comments are welcome. Please share your dash cam setups with the forum. https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2021/02/10/motorcycle-dashcam-challenge-blueskysea-dv988-vs-thinkware-m1/ VentureFar...
  4. How can I copy a video from youtube to a cd or is that illegal?
  5. Here is a short video that I ran across on youtube that gives just a little taste of my favorite ride. This video shows only one of the three pigtail bridges. [ame=http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3718826354166885858&q=black+hills+iron+mountain+road&total=12&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0]Iron Mountain Road[/ame] The last time that I rode it, I tried to count the curves to see how it compared to the Tail of the Dragon, I lost count at around 250 and was only about 2/3 of the way through the road. I think the road is about 18 miles long.
  6. Cool looking bagger with: Throttle body injection, satellite XM radio and satellite navigation, 1300cc, 50 mpg, iPod & iPhone audio? Sign me up! http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/products/modelhome/672/0/home.aspx Be sure to watch the video. http://imageshand.yamahamotors.com/img.jpg?id=18511&class=med640 (oh, and thank you Steve, you even influenced motorcycle design!)
  7. Thanks to StarFan for finding this excellent video. I have move this to the Tech Library at his request. Don Found this neat video on youtube on how to change the speedo face on the 1996 to 2001 Royal Stars. Very detailed and recorded in good quality. Had started a thread some months ago asking how to do this with no results. Should/can we add this to the Technical Library ? Here is the link: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLDGdo0DzZw]Changing the speedo face on my cruiser XVZ1300 XVZ 1300 Yamaha Royal Star - YouTube[/ame]
  8. What happen to the post of a video someone put up of truck and car crash. Went to show someone and its gone??
  9. KIC

  10. Some people do some really stupid things on a motorcycle. RandyA video is now unavailable http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=nBJds4PYn7Y&NR=1
  11. I looked for a while and could never find a video of an off the line launch of the RSTD so I decided to make one awhile back in case someone else was curious. I know it’s not a rocket but I wanted to see what she would do nothing crazy, didn't dump the clutch or anything just seeing how it would compare before and after mods. Right now the only thing done to it is a set of BUB's but it seems quicker than the numbers I have been reading. So after I install the Dyna 3000 and V-Max swap I will post another video to see if there is any noticeable difference. If anyone knows of similar videos please feel free to share. 12. Hello My daughter Natalie Cameron made a video for a scholarship and was chosen as one of the five finalists but in order to win she has to get the most "likes" on it. Could you please go to her link: The direct link is Please make sure to "LIKE" the post itself and not just the group (there are two like buttons on that page. The one at the top right is for the group, the one on the post is for her video). Also if you could share the link. The more votes the better. (Natalie has supported herself throughout her post secondary education and this would go a long way for her) ☺ Thank you again. This means so much to her and me!
  13. A Video, http://player.vimeo.com/video/48642618 Not M/C related, but for those involved in fire fighting, and aircraft, and machines of all types, this video is worth watching. Not to many uses, for Sea Planes in this day in age, but -- in this case, the Sea Plane, is still in the running. This subject , has a special place in my life, as I was Crew Member on the Last of the large U.S. Navy Seaplanes. Went out of service back in 1964, ( there abouts ) The P5-M Martin, Marlin. The last one still in existence is at the Pensacola N.A.S aircraft museum. ( I actually made one operational flight in that, particular, aircraft, as a crewmember ) from N.A.S North Island. At the time the aircraft was assigned to Squadren, VP-48.
  14. I was on you tube looking for music and I thought of the movie easy rider that I saw when I was a senior in high school. I accidentally found a video that is so cool. If you go to you tube and type in "Henryk Rynkowski Easy Rider" you will see the video. It starts out with a harley davidson starting and then you see Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper riding in the movie. I think Henryk Rynkowski is polish and the writing on the video is in polish. My question is does anyone know how I might could get this music. I sure would love to have this song on my mp3.
  15. So I got my drift camera...and in the next week or so I plan on recording bits and pieces of some of the great rides we have around here. To post video, is it the same as posting a picture....just "manage attachements" and select the file I want to post? I can see the file sizes and types. 1.91 mb doesn't sound like much for a video file. How does one go about posting to a web site like youtube? any other recommended sites where I could post video and have folks go there to view it?
  16. Looking at getting a camera that Nancy can use while we are riding so she can take pictures while we are rolling. Hoping to get recommendations. We went to a camera store and the one they are recommending is the Canon Powershot D20 12.1mp 5x optical zoom with 28mm wide angle lens, digital zoon 4x 3" lcd waterproof (to 33 feet), shockproof (up to 5', temperature resistant (14 to 104F) gps tracker 1080P for video shutter speed 1-1/1600sec auto sensitivity - ISO100 to 3200 (optimal ISO auto set) built in flash continuous shooting - 1.9 shots/sec This would be for still shots, small percentage video. Want something waterproof (obviously) that has a fast shutter. Suggestions?
  17. Got a bit fed up waiting for the Bub's - they'll be 5 weeks at least. So went to my local chrome shop. These are Highway Hawk universal slip ons. They do them longer too, but as he had these in stock, I thought for the price, £110, I'd give it a go. The bracket that comes with them is long & adjustable, so that bit was easy, & they just slipped on. I love the sound! I will post a video on you tube of a drive by as soon as the rain stops. I'll also try to post a video in the right section. Meanwhile here's some pics. http://i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p567/treecol/002-1.jpg http://i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p567/treecol/001-3.jpg
  18. Check this guy out..........awesome video................ http://www.wimp.com/classicriffs/
  19. Since I'm getting ready to ride to Montana in a couple of weeks I thought I needed a cheap video camera to mount on the handlebars. I tried my compact camera and didn't like that so I shopped around for a FLIP type camera. I bought an inexpensive Kodak Playsport camera for about $80. It turns out it is no better on the handlebars. Too much vibration in the bars to make a good video. So I'll probably abandon that idea and just let Valerie shoot over my shoulder as we go across Beartooth and Going to the Sun. However, I had some fun with the camera tonight anyway. The Playsport is water proof to 3 meters. And, since our dog is crazy about the water I thought I would see what I could shoot. Here is a link to a simple video I put together of the dog in the water tonight. www.traynorphoto.com/timbersplash.wmv It's worth 80 bucks just to play with around the pool. Enjoy. Dennis
  20. Never seen this before...thought it was interesting enough to pass on: http://defense.aol.com/2012/06/25/bizarre-navy-flip-ship-turns-50/?icid=trending2/?ncid=txtlnkusaolp00000058?test=latestnews
  21. If anyone is in the market for a video camera to mount on your bike this is a good deal. Its not HD but does a pretty good job. Keith http://www.visions.ca/catalogue/category/Details.aspx?categoryId=683&productId=7107&sku=X170
  22. Wow, how many people get to tell that tale? I've only hit a cat quite a few years ago and thought I was fortunate to have not lost it. There is some foul language in the video, so use your own discretion. Bill
  23. My dear wife has told me to go out and get a new digital camera for fathers day. I have a top $ budget of $250 but the lower the better. I want something that's small enough to carry in the tank bib that I can pull out and shoot while riding, it's got to have a decent optical zoom for scenery shots without a lot of lag time between shots. I'd also like it to have HD video that is not time limited for shooting ride video. I don't take pictures of the night sky very often. I'd use it mostly for scenery, portrait, parts pics and video. The easier to use the better. My last 2 cameras were Canons A620 and a A570IS I'm looking for recommendations from experienced photo shooters or a similar to me novice with actual hands on use, please.
  24. Trying to upload a video from my phone and it won't upload. Its a mp4 not 3 could this be why,or is it the size 18.8mb about 30 sec. Joe
