We had our monthly meeting tonight and I am happy to say that the Alabama folks are ready for this St Jude challenge. At this point it looks like everyone is on board and excited about getting out and raising money for this very worthy cause. We may see the participation dwindle some as the year wears on but for right now it looks like we may actually have a shot at victory! I am a member of both groups so I will try to stay sort of nuetral and help both sides. Just hope everyone remembers what this is really about and keeps it fun. I have been accused of being a spy for the Venturerider group already so I will not divulge any information about amounts raised by either side. The Road riders do not have a website but are on Facebook under NARR if there is any info on there then it is public and can be accessed by any inquiring minds.

The Canadian parliament is currently in hot debate over whether or not to repeal the former government's legislation requiring long gun owners to register their weapons. THAT is NOT the topic of this thread! I'm simply wondering if there is any venturerider with a long gun that could make a visit to a certain someone in Lacombe, Alberta. Started to do a search this morning and couldn't tell it to search venturerider. There are (used to be) buttons at the bottom of the search box that would direct the search to the web or venturerider. Sometimes I see spots that aren't there, but never no spots that should be there. Any ideas on how to get them back??

Where can a guy get a copy of the VentureRider logo? I was thinking of getting some vinyls made up for my helmet and truck. I also was thinking of having a master cylinder cover engraved with the logo. Thanks, Bill

As my smaller-carbed 1997 Royal Star devoured a Road King this weekend, (Okay, it wasn't THAT much of a difference, but I was definitely faster!) I've decided my new motto will be: "VentureRider - Why buy a Harley-Davidson when you can OWN one."

I've pretty much been sold out of VentureRider Guardian bells for a while now. I actually had a handful put back just in case but they are gone now. So...I'm certainly in no hurry to order more of them if you all have what you want but if there is any demand, I will order more at any time. Just let me know. I am not sure if it is a bug, I missed something or I imagined it. I would swear there was a multi quote button in the threads. I switched to the venturerider theme and did not see it when on that theme either.

OK folks....this is just to find out if there is any interest at all. If not, then no big deal. I have worked out a deal where we can get these bags with the VentureRider logo on the back and a 10% discount IF I can buy them in a lot of 50 units. I already have a bag and don't really need one but would buy one with the VentureRider logo if there is enough interest to get the group purchase. I've seen several posts of the past months that folks don't know where the VentureRider Merchandise area of the forum is. It is just a topic area of the forum and can be found on the forum home page. There you will find information about shirts, caps, patches, decals, etc. I have added a link to the upper menu bar on the far right side. It says VRStore. Hopefully that will make it easier for folks to find.

Hey folks, I've been thinking (yeah, dangerous stuff that:scratchchin:) that what with Christmas coming up and us having a pretty good size organization, it might be nice for us to do "something" for the kids for Christmas. What I was thinking of was some sort of "group" contribution to perhaps the Marine Corps "Toys for Tots", or St. Judes. I would envision us sending individual checks made out to whatever charity we select to a single collection point, then one of our guys making a formal presentation to the charity on behalf of VentureRider. If we'd all kick in a lousy $10 bucks we'd raise more than $20,000 and THAT would make a real difference for a bunch of kids (And it would be some Great Publicity for VentureRider). Anyway, just a thought of something that might be fun for us to do this Christmas season. Whadda ya think?

OK folks. Finally got around to taking a couple of pictures of our new Mascot. She is doing very well. Acts like she has been here forever and seems happy to have a good home. Goes to the vet on Wednesday for a good checkup but all is well so far. Here she is sporting her new VentureRider bell. Not 100% sure on a name yet but it looks like Eileen is leaning towards Lucy or Annie.

I think that if a seller post an ad. it should go to the main menu (home) like the rest of the post do. then it will fall off with in a day. right now as it stands nobody has a clue if a member posts anything for sale or not. OR you have to say HEY *waving* I just posted a for sale item in the VentureRider Classifieds . Just a thought. Jeff (JUST LIKE THIS POST JUST JUMPED TO HOME)

Folks, it is my pleasure to announce that Diamond R Accessories will be attending and setting up a booth at the VentureRider Rally in Marble Falls. Allen and Patty have been generous supporters of VentureRider.org since I started the club and it will be a real pleasure to have them at our rally. They will be bringing a nice selection of accessories for our bikes so if there is anything you have been thinking about adding, it will be a great time to do so.

Do we still have venturerider shirts and caps for sale, or was that a one time thing??

I've always liked the "domed" style decals and am thinking about ordering some of our logo. They would basically look like our small patches (Pictures of those in the VentureRider merchandise area) but these would be domed style decals that are UV stable and designed for outdoor use. Price will depend upon quantity but I'm shooting for about $4.00 each including postage within the USA and probably $4.50 to Canada. ONLY if enough of you are interested. Here is a picture of one for Buell...ours would NOT say Buell.
