  1. Saw a nice looking Venture trike outside of the Beaufort air show today.

    Red Trike

I went to a birthday event today at Downtown Harley in Renton WA. Does this belong to anyone here?
  3. THE TRIKE IS FINISHED!!!! And on June 15th, we’ll be leaving on the ultimate road trip. The plan at this time is to head east across Oregon, angle northeast across Idaho to Yellowstone Park. After a tour of the Park, we’ll continue east through Wyoming to Mt. Rushmore. From there, we’ll head south to Colorado Springs for the Pike’s Peak Hill Climb. Then it will be on to the Grand Canyon for a trip on the Skywalk and a helicopter flight over the Canyon. On to Vegas, where we take in a show or two, northwards to Reno, and then back to our home in Springfield OR. We’ve scheduled a full month for the journey. If there’s anyone out there who would be on, or close to, our route who would like to meet for coffee, a meal, or just a quick visit (while we rest up for the next segment of the journey) give us a shout. And, maybe, if anyone out there would have shop space available for maintenance (or repairs) you could let us know. We can’t be specific about when we’ll be anywhere, but we will have the laptop with us and will check messages and emails at least once a day, maybe more. Depends on when and where we can get internet service. We’ll be sure to post some pictures when we get back. Probably, by the end of the weekend, we will be posting the trike build photos.
  4. I saw a 60 something year old lady come into the park today on a Victory Vision trike. I think I like it better than the two wheel version. I didn't get a picture of it but here's a link to a picture of one. I don't recall seeing a trunk on hers but maybe it's removable. Or it could have been there and I just didn't notice. http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2011models/2011-Victory-VisionTrikea.jpg

  9. hi all as some of you know i have a '99 rsv trike that we found out that was only firing on 3 cylinders. with much help from ponch, squid & a phone call to goose. last saturday squidly & i fix the #1 cylinder to fireing order. so now i'am a happy camper having all 4 coils sparking again. we changed out the ignition module and problem solved. so the orginal #1 coil is still good. took the trike out sunday for a 170 mile round trip ride. the power was right there and the gas milage was back were it should be for a trike. thanks again for all the help and advice. reguards don c.
  10. hi all monday i drove the trike up to troup, texas, to have them look it over. wow what a nice place. one of their tech named david meet me and wanted to know how they could help. i explaned that i had just bought this '99 rsv trike with their kit installed. and could they go over the trike and tell me anything about it. he took it into the shop and put it on a lift. came out a little later and said the axel ring & pinon seal was leaking. also said that they did not instrall the kit on the rsv there, that one of their dealers did it. also told me that it was an early kit as 1998 or 1999. that it did not have the air bags installed. as they started doing this in 2000. also stated that they stamp a serial # on each rear end reguard less of which kit it goes to. that my # was a low one. well after a couple of hours david came out and told me he was done. he had fixed the rear end seal, adjusted the suspension / frame. fixed a tail light, some side molding. all this at work and time at NO CHARGE. yep that's right NO CHARGE, wow was i surprised. as we were shaken hands he told me we get you next time. if your ever in the area go by their plant for a tour of the place and say hi. reguards don c.

  14. hi folks since i bought my motor tike rsv a couple of weeks ago. i was wondering if anyone else had this trike kit or am i the only one ? i've looked at the hannigan and tri-wing kits. these seam to be the most popular with the rsv bunch. reguards don c.
  15. hi all just found a 1999 rsv thats been triked out with a motor trike kit. it has less than 18,000 miles on it. they want $15,000 for it. i know the engine not even broken in at those miles. shucks when i bought my '99 rsv it only had 21,000 miles on the clock. should i go for the $15,000 or offer them a lower price? reguards don c.
  16. I sold my trike and the guy picked it up today and left around 1:00pm. At 1:45pm some drunk drove through my garage right where my trike was sitting. I am storing an 09 Trike for a friend that has 500 miles on it and it took a hit. Check out my pictures! What a day!!! No one was hurt!

  19. Hi all I HAVE ADDED SOME PHOTOS It has been one year and 2 days since I injured my back at work and now I am facing surgery and the end of my riding carreer. I wanted to give the members here an opportunity to let friends or someone they know who is interested in these bikes to get a great deal. The bike is 2005 royal star tour deluxe with 19200 miles. It has a Voyager Trike kit that I just installed in August hoping that would make it able for me to ride but the pain won out again. I am not sure how to download pictures or what is policy of forum about selling bikes but wanted to let members know about it before I put it on EBAY. Bike has pipes, Mustang seat with drivers rest, new highway pegs, kuryakin grips. rador detedtor holder, fast lane pass holder, second tall windshield (one on bike is 4" lower than stock), kuryakyn travel bag. I will include 20-50 amsoil and new filter. I also have carbon one stand for bike if the trike kit is taken off. I am pricing the bike and basically throwing in the trike kit for free so that it could be sold if taken off the bike. I am asking $7000 firm for the bilke and all accessories and will store for winter with $5500 deposit for pickup in spring. Will miss riding and the forum Thanks Dan:95::95::95:
  20. Anyone here have this kit or demo'd one?Would like to know what you thing of them?
  21. I'm seriously considering selling my 02 Goldwing Trike with a MotorTrike kit. I would like to free up some money. It has 25,000 miles. If you are interested just PM me. $19,000 will buy it. I'll put an ad in the classified section tomorrow or Sunday.
  22. Thinking about getting a trailer to haul the '07 RSV on longer trips...in the next couple of years I plan to have it triked it out (the bike...not the trailer) with the Hannigan kit. I, therefore want to get a trailer for now...and after it makes the change to trike. I would appreciate knowing the overall length and width of the Hannigan that some of you have done. Thanks in advance for any info.
  23. I have been 100% disabled for about 10 years now (age 59 now) with bad lower back , 2 knee operations and 5 shoulder operations plus more. Anyway... I have a 2005 midnight Venture and seem to be starting to have balance trouble. Not when riding but the slow turning with my foot down and sometimes getting on and off. If I convert my Venture dose any kit offer reverse ? I am not a Harley guy but more Goldwing guy. Are there any model problems I should know about before getting a Wing trike ? What about other trike bikes ? Buget is open........ thanks for any help Cb
  24. "just when you start to make both ends meet -- some bugger moves the ends!":bang head: I had decided that I needed to get a trike with reverse, and also not have Quickstep laying on the ground checking the pre-load on Voyager kit for years to come. He would then take the Venture back to two wheels and ride it. Need a trike with usual bike seats, as I climb on to back seat first, then swing bad leg over tank and slide forward. Also can't have engine sticking out at side--need the room for stiff leg. So, of the bikes that come with reverse: G/Wing -[NO] BMW-[NO] both have engine sticking out. Bingo !! found the answer -- H-D Ultra Classic Trike NOPE!! Do not comply with Australian standards - too heavy :crying: Dealers have tried to get the new trike into Oz but powers that be won't budge. Was going to buy it when we came over, ride it then ship home.... Oh well, back to the drawing board
  25. The trike I have is based on an 05 midnight venture . The trike was "cobbled up " rather than using a complete kit. The speedometer jumps around and the cruise control doesn't work , due to the unevenness of the input at the pickup level , I think. The impulse wheel used is a fan from an alternator , and the pickup is mounted at the side of the wheel. The fan is not mounted on center of the universal joint. It wobbles. So back to the original question. What is needed to make the speeometer pickup system work properly? Help!
