Dad gum it!!!! Got up around 3am and the trailer was gone. Someone stoled it. I took a ride around the neighborhood just in case some kid didn't run it a few houses down and dump it. Nothing. It's insured...I think?? It's registered under the '99's policy, but wasn't attached. So we'll see. Pisses me off....

I am looking for ideas, suggestions or any help in designing my trailer, with conversion wheels kit as base to start with. I picked up this conversion kit while purchasing my 91 VR, with matching colors and mags it looks good. Short cargo box for cars could be a solution, but some are to skimpy for long haul vibrations, is there box manufacturers for my applications. Thanks Mike:lightbulb:

I hope there are some trailer experts out there. I don't profess to be any such thing. I need to get a trailer to haul a Polaris Ranger 6X6 that will weigh in at about 2500lbs. What are some thoughts on the proper tailer. Would a single axle with a 2990lb GVWR and a 3500lb axle work for this or should I move up to a tandem axle? Application: Polaris Ranger 6x6 weighing 1410lbs with a 'slide-in' firefighting unit weighing 935lbs, wet. Total combined weight of unit - 2345lbs. Thoughts please...

Finally got a chance to get everything cleaned up and out for the promised pics. Thanks again for all the information on the Hitch and Trailer Wiring. need some info,wanta go to the international rally in new york but don't know if i can swing it,here are some of my figures and please tell me if you think i'm high. F.Y.I. i use a cpap machine and wife has a bad back so i dont think camping will be a option for us.reg 45.00 50/50 tickets 10.00 trailer tickets 25.00 t-shirts 50.00 some dinner 22.00 some ride 31.00 gas for the whole trip 220.00 (1760 miles) food 280.00 motel 630.00 for a total of 1313.00 i left out some such as the niagara trip and so on.i know i could cut out the 50/50 trailer t-shirts but why go if i cant help support and win a trailer? thaks in advance for you info.

In Ohio, vehicle registration renewals are the same as your birthday. Mine will be coming up the first of March so I just went online and renewed them all. I think that registrations in Ohio are fairly reasonable compared to some states. I'm just curious what it costs all of you. I just renewed registrations for: 2011 Kia Sorento 2004 Chrysler Crossfire 1999 Royal Star Venture 2000 Royal Star Venture 20somthing Bushtec Trailer Total cost was $160.35 That included my option to add $1.00 to each one as a voluntary contribution to the Ohio vision program. How does this compare to what you pay in other states? The motorcycles were actually 28.87 each, the trailer was 20.87.

Going to build a hitch for my 07rsv new trailer on the way ! Does everyone's trailer set level when hitched to bike and is there any advantage other than appearance for it to do so. Trailer will have 12'' wheels and i just don't want it to look like its doing a nose dive going down the rode I'm a little OCD about these things. Will be installing leveling links before I build the hitch so that should help any comments or pics would be appreciated.

I have purchased an older model Escapade Classic Trailer and want to make a cooler rack to install on the chrome trailer tongue. California Side Car who makes this trailer, offers one for the trailer, but I would like to use my own cooler and thus have to make my own rack. Their package is made for their cooler. I did purchase the chrome mounting brackets from them for their cooler package as they sold them separately, but have not seen how to use them to make a rack. It is not self-explanatory (LOL).. If you have an Escapade Trailer with the cooler rack, would you take a couple of pictures of the rack so that I will know how to start making my own... Another reason I didn't buy their package, was the color of the cooler cover. It won't match my bike (2000MM RSV Pearl/Sand). Thanks in advance for your time... I was loading my 86VR on the motorcycle trailer and did not notice the front of it was to low to the ground which made a hump where the ramp meets the trailer and when I was riding the bike up the bottom of the oil filter housing on the engine caught it and took a chunk out of it. I will have to wait till I have a day off to drain the oil again and see how bad it is. I hope I did not ruin the block. Tom

Last night I scored a deal on a car topper from Craigslist. The guy has an old car topper that had been used once and was asking $25 for it just to get rid of it quick. After almost a week of us playing phone tag and email tag he finally sent me an email that If I can come tonight, I can have it for $FREE$. He just wants it gone. Needless to say I beat feet over there, and this thing looks almost like new. I stuffed it into the back of my truck and away I went with the goodies. Now I just have to decide quickly as to whether I should just get the HF trailer (the HF trailer is on sale for $179.95 till the end of this month) to put under this box, or build one from scratch. I know that it will cost a LOT more to build it from scratch, and take a lot more work and time, but I will have a much better trailer in the end that is exactly what I want/need.

My Star Chapter is Raffling a 2012 Escape alumalite trailer to benefit Charity. The primary Charity will be CIRT( Central Illinois Riding Therapy), this organizations uses horse therapy for people that have Autism, Downs Syndrome and the like. Depending on the money raised we hope to help our local vets and Wounded Warrior as well. before I even ask this I should know better by now but here goes. Just ordered a new trailer that has factory Led's and is wired for 4 wires. From other threads looks like the Hoppy 4 to 5 converter will work and a lot cheaper than the other isolators,converters, and sub wiring harness that I have looked at. #1 Will the Hoppy converter be more economical than installing two more lights to the trailer for turn signals? #2 Will installing two more lights for turn signals require any kind of isolator? #3 Will wiring trailer directly to bike harm the bikes electrical system ? From what have read the isolator puts the load on the battery and not the bikes charging system. I'm not using any heated gear or planning any other lighting upgrades other than maybe some strip leds under the tank etc.. In theory trailer will only be used a few times a year. I have read so many old threads and opinions that I have information overload so give me some more and maybe it will fix this hangover.

Robin and I took a ride in the truck today to look at a timeout camp trailer. Guess what climbed into the back of the truck? Yep a 2004 standard size trailer. Not to bad condition. Needs to be aired out, doing that now. Has a little mold on the carpet. going to air and dry it out for a couple days then give it a good cleaning. Can't post pic's cause it's in the garage at this time. I don't have enough head room in the garage to set it up.Can't wait till warm weather.

I ordered a trailer and was told it would be here in 2 to 3 weeks.. Well it's been a week and a half, (seems like a month).. I only needed a small trailer, so I ordered a Tag-Along http://www.lilthoroughbredtrailers.com/id2.html So far, I took my bike to the paint store "Finish Masters" they took a little computer out to the bike and came up with a color match I'm going to paint the trailer to match the bike. I fabricated a hitch for the bike pretty much following the design of others here. Below are a couple of pictures of how it came out and how it looks on the bike. Yes I know the bike is dirty but the weather here has been crappy.. It is hard to keep clean. Peggy and I are looking forward to using the trailer. It will make our trips a little more comfortable.

I have a Great Pyrenees service dog that must be with me at all times. The dog is large to huge. is 5 ft.9 inches when standing on her rear feet. weighs in a little over a hundred pounds. she stands at 36 inches floor to top of her head. I need a trailer pull behind my Royal Star Venture MM edition that will accomodate the dog. She is a diabetic seizure alert dog. I have a Bushtec Turbo with the zippered hangup bag, spare tire tube and wheel, updated suspension, trailer travel cover, ice chest with cover, trailer bra, all lights l.e.d. rear light bar with peterson lights, fully carpeted inside. I have an 02 RSMV with a Hannigan Classic sidecar. I also have a Shadow trailer I want to mount to the RSMV. I need to offset the ball six inches to the right of the center of the bike. If I don't do this my bike/sidecar/trailer will be wider than my Ram 1500 pickup. I need some ideas.

I am looking to build a trailer hitch for my 1987 Venture Royal. Just wondering if any one has any advise or plans for one. Or even one for sale?? I have no problem building one , just not sure where to bolt it to.

Picked up a Time-Out trailer from Tupelo over the weekend. LED lights, 5pin round connector. Question to U Hannigan Trikers---- How did you route the wiring from the connections under the seat to the trailer hitch??
