I am receiving as many as five e-mails for working at home in one day and all are the same except the http// addresses are different. All these sound like the noted sender is making a personal recommendation. I contacted the person that is noted and they are saying they did not send it and they are also getting the same thing. I clicked on one of the http// addresses and read the offer to try to stop this and there does not appear to be any way. I am also concerned that everyone in my address book is or will be getting the same crap. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can stop this? RandyA

Hi can anyone help me i have a 2008 royal star dour deluxe and about last may i had a ignition coil go on my bike rear off side, at christmas i had the rear near side go on my bike to, last week i just got round to replaceing that one to now the other one has stop working again is it the coil that are at fault or dose anyone no of any other reson way they keep going wrong. peter (From England)

Here is a good one. When i start the Venture its sounds great. I drive off and within a very short distance I get this very loud sound that will only stop when I pull over or at the very least almost stop rolling. Then when I take off everything is fine! I can only describe the sound as " a sound a worn out drill would make???" I have tried to activate the starter when the noise was sounding but that did not seem to make any difference!! Any sugjestions? Thanks Ryan On a happier note! I was still driving the bike yesterday and plan to take it as far as I can into the winter months. I do have a goal of driving around each month! Doing so with safety in mind.

Does anyone know how to turn off the media player on this device? I have looked everywhere and tried everything I can think of, but once the player is turned on...it stays on. I can mute it...no problem there, but I want to stop it. Appreciate any help.

I worked with Al for 30+ years and having both recently retired together we had become regular riding buddies. His latest restoration was a 1977 Suzuki GT500, that he had spent many hours bringing back to shape. Not 2 miles from home today on the 'Uki he was t-boned by a 91 year old coming out of a stop sign onto a 50 mph highway. Al was truly "one of the good ones", I don't think I had ever seen him upset, just an easy going guy. He will be sorely missed. A sad, sad time!

Hi All, I'm in the middle of a 6000 mile trip on my 86 Venture. This morning I found that my entire dash readout stopped working. No fuel, temp, tach, or volts. No Turn signals or stop light either. Headlights and running lights work fine. Starts and runs great. Put 400 miles in the desert today without a problem. Now heres where it get quacky. It WILL come on once in a while. It might stay on for 10 seconds or an hour. If I do anything that require power (Stop light, horn etc.) it will shut down again. At one point I hit the horn and the screen came back on!! It should be noted that when it come on it goes thru the diagnostic test just like turning the key on. It seems to be acting like a bad ground. Any Ideas? -
On my way home from work today I came up behind a tan 1st gen cruising south on I-49. Ole guy with Quebec plates. He wore a white helmet and had a round reflector on the trunk (if this sounds familiar to anyone). Wanted to stop him and have a close look at it. He probably was wondering a why a white fully marked tahoe was following him at 65 mph.

Mom has been feeling some back pain for a few days now. She's going to see the bone cruncher in the morning but I offered to go get her some otc relief tonight at walmart pharmacy. At walmart, I finally settled on a back-pain rub that sounded good (Stop Pain roll on), got checked out, got on my scooter to head home. Put the bike in 1st gear and lifted my right foot to the peg as I started rolling and the darndest charlie-horse type cramp hit me in my right-side lower back and down the back of my upper leg - Whooooa horsey ! Man I had to come to stop real quick. Got off, walked around the scooter once, got back on and the the sky was blue again As bad as Rachel feels I didn't mention it to her but I hope she leaves me a little bit of that stuff.

Greetings! I've noticed in the past few months that the front end of my '99 RSV has started dipping really far in the front whenever I stop. When I sit on the bike and push down on the handlebars I get almost no resistance and a lot more travel than it seem I should on the front shocks. I put 7lbs of air in the front shocks over 9 months ago, and just checked the pressure... still 7lbs. So, I assume by that there are no leaks. I did put on 15lbs of weight, but I hope I don't have to get on the treadmill to keep the front end from diving every time I stop. Any ideas?

We're heading out on vacation this Friday after work, hope to make it somewhere down in Ohio on Day 1. Beth and I are both off for 2 weeks, and we've made some plans. Memphis...paddle wheeler, Uncle Lou's Chicken, Graceland....Nashville...who knows what? Then off we go like a herd of turtles to San Antonio.....the Alamo, Riverwalk....then over to Tomball-Conroe to meet up with the "Texans". Then, it's off to Savannah, and mosey on north back home. It might not look like much of a plan, but we stop where and when we want to....see something, let's stop....that type of trip. The bike has new front brakes, new Elite 3 tires back and front, going to do fresh engine oil and rear diff oil one night this week.....we did a 700 k trip yesterday, and all appears well, as it should. Yup, we're excited about it.....haven't named it yet...but something along the lines of monkey butt or flat butt tour would probably fit pretty well. Eldest son is taking care of the house, dog and cat....or maybe it's visa versa....hopefully the house is in one piece when we get home So, if you see an 04 Midnite with a couple of smiling, happy Canucks riding...it's probably us! We'll wave at ya. Keep the light on for us! gunk:big-grin-emoticon:

Went for a ride with some friends up to Geneva on the Lake over the weekend. My one buddy couldn't go (working) but his wife asked to join us. She wanted to ride the Harley 1200 Sportster (Nightster?) that she recently bought. A great time was had by all, and on the way home, I happened to be in the lead, with her next in line, just pulling away from a stop sign with a straigt_away ahead when I hear her stomp on it. I'm pretty quick on the draw, and did the same thing. I don't suppose I have to tell anyone here how it turned out, but it gave me a great feeling putting that Harley in it's place. She, alone, 120 pounds soakin' wet,.... me, with the wife on the back, 350 pounds between us, plus all three compartments loaded with a duffel strapped to the back. Well, lets just say we ran it up to about 85 before letting off, (wife yelling at me the whole time) and the Harley was further behind than when we started, buddies wife looking astonished. Next stop she said "that thing's a beast". (87 Standard) I believe she's correct. I love it.

When out riding I will stop at a bar and have a Soda. Won't drink anything stronger when I'm on bike. Thing is I stopped this afternoon and ran face to face with a guy I hadn't seen since June 14th 2006 at 9:58 PM. Anybody know him yet?? After a short conversation with this guy I left and came home. I know if I had started I would not have been able to quit. Might have got my ass kicked I'm not the guy I was then but fear of that didn't stop me I was afraid I would kill him. He was drunk this time also and I told everybody in the bar what he did to me and he denied it. I'm shaking as I write this and might be stupid enough to go back. The pain and everything this A-hole caused me and he claims it wasn't him. Then he claims he was backing off the road. Got tounge tied and couldn't get lies straight. When I left I pointed at everyone else in the place and said. You folks all have a great night then ended up with my fingeralmost touching his nose ans said " And you go straight to hell" Walked out and waited in parking lot for about 10 minutes. No show and I think I'm glad. OK I'll quit. I just never wanted to hurt someone so bad in all my life and I didn't??? Must be getting old.

ok im looking for a thread or advice on how to remove the fairing left and right side to repair some cracks. or a how to thread? looks like im going to have to do a small drill hole to stop a crack from spreading. and not sure on how to do that?

Anyone running these tires on the rear? ... Do you get a "howling" sound at certain speeds? Does it stop or diminish when in a corner?

ok im haveing a rear tire problem. dunlop tire 404 i think? its hot out in the garage so not going to check right now. what i want to ask is there some kind of stop leak you can put in these tires? it has less then 1000 miles on it since purchased last fall. and for the life of me i cant find one single nail screw nothing in it. i checked the vavle stem ect ect. but after 4 days she goes down. never below 25lbs psi. well today i took off for a ride and my center stand hit bottom ? i heard it touch the ground? i pulled into a service station low rear tire and rear air showed 22 lbs on the class ok low tire low shocks and 250 pound guy might do that. but im trying to find something to stop this slow tire leak maybe slime? something. anyone have a good product

I'm making a 1 way trip from Vacaville to Seattle on my 89 Venture. While I was visiting my daughter and granddaughter I purchased this 89 Venture. I plan on flying in Sat Sept 18th and riding back on either Sun or Monday. 1st stop is Corvallis Or where I have friends. Next day into Buckley Wa. You would have to make the solo return trip back. -

Would someone explain to me how my engine stop switch on my right handle bar is supposed to work. I have an 89 Venture Royale and the switch says "run" and "off" I believe. The writing is a little faded. If it is in the "off" it will not start with the start switch but "off" does not "kill" or "stop" the engine when it is running. Is this the way it is supposed to work on the Venture? Usually the "engine stop" or "kill" switch does just that. I was wondering as there might be a problem with the wiring as the previous owner did a few modifications. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thank you. Sam
