Just picked up a 2007 Royal Star Venture Midnight edition with 15k miles for $4500. While think it’s a great looking bike, it’s super heavy and doesn't seem to accelerate out of 1st gear like my 83 Venture Royal. Is this just me or do need a tune up? I was told it had never seen a drop of ethanol and always maintained. I also feel like this bike gets thrown around on the highway. I’m going to try the wider front tire, soon as I decide if I keep it or fix 2nd gear in the 83. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

wrecked the o6 venture i just bought last year at thanksgiving,( 11-27-11 ) went deer hunting with it on 12-2- 12! totaled it but i'm still here and able to start the heal'n process! found another 06 venture with 14k miles on it. Question? old one was a royal star venture, the title on this one says it's a royal star midnight venture? is there a difference , or just a xtra word on the title? bikes both look the same,only this one does'nt have any bling on it yet! same color and so on.l please let me know if yaz know anything? Good day everyone. I need some help. I am trying to locate a connector that plugs into the voltage regulator/rectifier for a 99 Royal Star Venture. The primary red and black wires need to be at least 12 guage wiring with about 6 or 8 inches to the wire in length. If anyone has one they would like to sell please contact me. Thank you!!!! Dan -
are the triple trees the same on a royal star and a royal star venture. i found a set of barron raked trees but it says for a royal star/roadstar 96-12 need to know will they fit my 1999 venture and any mods if any needed

Anyone know of a place to get a set of lower windshield mounting brackets for a 96 Royal Star? I have the lower glass, no way to mount. Thanks

Hi, I am a new member and my name is Jeff, I am from Manchester, England but live in Thailand in the winter and have the pleasure of owning a Royal Star over here. The problem I have is that one or the conrods broke and one piece went through the crankcase and the other into the cylinder wall so you can imagine the mess, oh, and it bent the crankshaft as well. I have sourced a second hand engine in the States but before shipping it over I need to make sure it will fit in my bike. Mine is a 1997 model but the engine is off a 2005, can anybody help me here or has had similar experience with this problem, thanks Jeff

I have a 1996 Royal Star Palimino Dealers Edition that was delivered to the dealer in Killeen Texas. Is I understand one of only 83 made. Anyone know the value and the best place to sell it? -
A fellow over on the STAR forums is moving and clearing out items he does not want to move, he posted the note below. "I have a stock seat for a 1999 RSV. Excellent shape, came off bike shortly after buying the bike and stored since then. Also have stock seat to 2004 Road Star Silverado. It was removed almost immediately after buying the bike. Both are free to anyone needing them. PLese let me know if you have a home for them, hate to put them in the land fill. I belong to a lot of motorcycle organizations. My jacket and vest have a mixture of all these organizations on them. I view these patches as a billboard showing what organizations I belong to or support. One of my STAR chapter President's has told me his position on patches is when we are on a chapter ride he does not want anyone to wear any patch other than STAR and chapter patches. My jacket I wear all the time has a VentureRider patch on the back. He does not think I should wear that where people can see it on a chapter ride. I think this is ridiculous. This reminds me of what we have been fighting as Yamaha riders when other clubs say you have to ride this type of motorcycle if you want to ride with us. STAR says you can ride anything you like. My President says you can ride any ride you like but when you are on a chapter ride you can not wear any other patch. Does this make any since to any of you? -
Hello Im completly new at this here street bike experience, I bought a 1996 Royal star. Not Realising that two of the carbs had striped fuel mixture screws holes, now Im searching and looking around on Ebay and so on for a used set of carbs. New each carb at Yamaha is almost $600 I cant not aford that at all. Im hoping that you guys might be able to tell me what years and models may be swaped onto my bike. I tried the local Yaamaha Dealers and the are not helpfull at all, they dont want to share part #s so I may compare and try to figure out what might swap. Thanks for your attention... -

one of my pins came out of segement. i have removed the shifter lever and shaft but cant seem to break that countersunk star headed screw in the center any advice would help thanks. -

Self cancelling turn signals

Would like to put a self cancel turn signal unit on my 96 Royal Star. Where do you get them,is it hard to install??? -
I have a 2009 Royal star touring deluxe and am currently servicing it and found the reear swing arm has some end play in it. The end play has about .003-.005 side play on it. Is this a concern and if so what is needed to take this play out. Does the exhaust have to be removed to get access to the through bolt.

Hello, I recently acquired a 1996 Royal Star Trike. The exhaust needs replaces and as I have found out, it is a rare animal and parts are difficult to find. Can anybody here point me in a direction? I have done all the searching I know how to do and keep coming up with nothing. Also, for a V4 it sure seems to lack a lot of power. Motor is running well, just seems to be missing something comparing to the inline 4 cylinder I was used to. Thank you, Jim -
