I would really like to use bearing buddies on my harbor freight trailer. Mostly for peace of mind. BUT I cannot find the right size. Does anyone know the size that I need? Wayne

I want to mount some fog lights on my rsv. I read a previous post about the platnum burners. When mounting them do I need to use a relay or an in line fuse? I haven't never messed with a relay so what size do I need if I need one? Can I hook my driving lights up on the same relay or not? If someone has better advice on fog lights please let me know. I have to start driving 50 miles to get to work. I can no longer bring the company truck home. What kind of riding gear is the best for rain and also in the cold weather? A lot of people talk about the frogg toggs but the way the size chart looks they won't work for me. I'm 6' 2 and 190 pounds. My jean size is 34 x36 and it's hard to find that without them being to big in the waist. For anyone with advice on the cold weather what is the coldest you have used them in? Do you guys us your regular boots or is there a certain boot that you bought for cold? I have never ridden in cold weather so I'm not familiar with any of this. thanks tim

What size cooler do you carry on the tongue of your trailer? Thinking about a 25 qt size. Always camped before, but hoteling it now and no need to carry a large cooler inside the trailer.

I'm thinking about buying a V-nose enclosed trailer to haul the bike in occaisionally and I am not sure of what size I would need. While I would carry only one bike most of the time I would like to be able to carry two at times. I have no experience with enclosed trailers. So I would like to tap into the experiences here to determine what the smallest size that I could get by with to carry two tour bikes? Dennis

Happy Fourth of July everyone. I am spending mine lowering my bike and installing the new seats modified by Rick Butler. Quick question. Thom and I separated the front fairings on my 2000 Venture. In order to continue lowering the front, does anyone know the steering nut size? That is the large nut in the center of the triple tree assembly. Thanks for in advance for the your input. I just bought a set of Dunlop Elite IIIs for my RSV and I noticed that the front tire is fatter than the rear... This bugged me a little so I did some poking around and found out the MV85-15 size listed for the RSV rear is the same as a 150/80-15 (See it here)... I got the stock size 150/80-16 for the front and I guess because of the 1" difference in rim size makes the front wider... I haven't got past the scrub in stage yet so I'm not sure if it affects handling... Has anyone else noticed this???

I'm not near the bike, actually 8 miles away, I need to what size tire goes on it. Gunboat has a couple for sale, hopefully the size is right. It's a 1998 Tour Deluxe

What size wrench does the large nut on top of the steering head of the RSV take? I know it is larger than any metric wrench that I have and I want to make sure I buy the right size. Thanks, Dennis

Does anyone know the size of the socket required for the big nut that holds the steering crown on (big top nut)? I don't see the size in the svc manual. I have to buy a socket tomorrow morning to get it off and would like to make just one trip. Kevin

Does anyone here use the ICON MIL SPEC Mesh Vest? I just received my order and there seems to be a problem with the sizing. As I intend to wear it over my Ballistics jacket, I ordered the 4X size. Now, I realize that, like everything else today, it is manufactured in China. But this was ridiculous. I couldn't even zip the thing up wearing just a tee shirt. If this is a 4X, it must be a made for a 4X Barbie doll. Has anyone else had a problem with the 4X size? OR does the world just like to pick on me???

No doubt this has been hashed over more than a few times, yet in searching through threads I am not really finding the answer to my question. So here it is. I have a 05 RSTD have been running stock tire Bridgstone Excedra and getting less then six thousand miles on the rear. So now it is time once again to replace last seasons rear tire. I have seen folks using the Venom, and the E 3. The specified tire size is 150/90 HR 15. Can not seem to find the Elite 3 in that size. So then what tires are other RSTD riders using and are they HR rated, how are your tires working out mileage wise during longer trips etc. We do pull a small trailer as well, over pretty much all road conditions, including an occasional dirt stretch.

can someone tell me if I can buy a set of avon tires,the same size as the stock tires.(150/80 16)front,,and the (150/90 15)rear, in the wide white wall. I'm having trouble findin the stock size in the www. Or do I need to go to the 130/80 16 in the front. And also where can i find the best price.? thx in advance.

This little beauty was found a couple weeks ago on Camp Lejeune when they were clearing some land. It is an Eastern Diamondback Rattle Snake. They are rare around these parts and extremely rare this size. Look at the size of it's head. It was relocated to a remote area of the base. Somewhere near Beer30's No that is not me in the picture, it's one of the base rangers. Needless to say people need to watch where they step when hiking and camping.

Hey guys, I have this super nice Leather Gallery buffalo jacket listed on Ebay - it is a very comfortable, nice jacket - even has the Yamaha & Venture Rider pins still on it! Also listed in classifieds here on this site. Beautiful, very soft men's buffalo leather jacket, size 4XL, by Leather Gallery. I bought this jacket 3 years ago and paid over $300 for it. It has the Thinsulate zip-out liner, front and rear zippered air vents, zippered cuffs, expandable sides, extra elbow padding and kidney padding in the rear. It is a great jacket - very warm. I wore it on a winter motorcycle trip to Gatlinburg, TN 3 years ago and a winter motorcycle trip to Helen, GA 2 years ago- that's it. Worn a total of about 12 days - it is in near perfect condition. At the time I was 380 lbs. and wore a size 58-60 jacket. I've lost over 200 lbs. in the last 15 months and the jacket is just way too big for me now (now wear a size 48 jacket). The only thing wrong is the zipper pull on the left cuff zipper is missing - that's it. It has always been stored in a garmet bag in a cedar chifferobe when not worn. You will not be disappointed in this jacket.

Well its time to buy tires on my 2006 rstd,I have read all the posts on what size is best .I have decided on the Avons .My question is this, I am 5 10 185 lbs , looking to improve slow speed handling , do a lot of two up . I do not have leveling links or have I altered the stance of the bike .Will the 150 stock size improve handling for me without any other changes . Iam concerened with high speed stability as well. Any sugestions for someone my size, I would love to improve slow speed handling while maintaining high speed feel . Thanks for any guidance !!!!!!

Hi gang, I forgot what the ball size was on the Venturedad Hitch does anybody know what the size is? 1-7/8 ? I have sold mine and am having a differant type installed to my trike and wanted to email them to see if the ball came with it and what size it was... I tow a piggy . Thanks, Jeff

Sorry, since I don't own a 2nd gen I really don't know that much about the specs on them.....do they use the same size diaphragms as the 1st gens? I'm asking because I'm negotiating with a local supplier for diaphragms and we had posted a poll in the 1st gen. tech section to see who would be interested in a group purchase and we didn't get much response and was wondering if maybe we inadvertently overlooked the 2nd gens and needed to broaden our poll. The poll indicated an order of approx. 67 sets of diaphragms.....I would have thought ( of course if the price was right ) that we would have been well over the 200 mark considering the size of the club.
