  1. I have one new set of XVZ1300 diaphrams I will ship all 4 for 210.00 including shipping (unless you want to paypal 10.00 more)
  2. WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO BUY STEBEL HORNS? BEEN SEARCHING AND $51.99 IS THE BEST I CAN FIND WITH SHIPPING. JUST WONDERING IS THERE ANY CHEEPER ONES OUT THERE?
  3. Does any one know if the halogen passing lamps for the RSTD will fit the RSV light bar?I am planning to buy a light bar,but would rather have the halogen lamps, if they will fit.The part # is STR-4NK35-10-01.By the way, the best price I have found for accessories is MotorsportsSupercenter.com in Hamilton,AL.They actually have 2 different websites. The other one is MotorsportsSuperstore.com.The cost is a little more, but it offers $5.95 shipping on all orders over $50 in USA. Just check both sites to get best overall price with shipping.
  4. I just recieved a Tomtom one. The cheapest Ram-Mount I have found is $39.95 with shipping. Anybody know of anything cheaper?
  5. Just wanted to say thanks to all that replyed regarding my question about relocation of the passenger headset plug in. I just received my extension ( which I got for $2.96 plus shipping) that someone suggested. Works like a charm! You guys are the best! SlimJim in Texarkana, Texas
  6. The last time I posted this thread it was pretty short notice and although we did get 5 members to commit it just wasn't enough. But hey, we tried. I just got off the phone with Odyssey, trying to get 2008 pricing from them, and I have some good news. Odyssey agreed to hold the 2007 prices until the end of the month for us. So the prices posted below are still good until 1/31/08. We still need to get 10 members.... or more, but the timing isn't as critical this time around. Here's a cut and paste of the important info..... http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc680_sm.jpg For 1stGens the Odyssey is PC680. Your price each to your doorstep will be $99.00. Be aware that this is the non-metal jacket battery. I discussed the application at length with Odyssey , and they reiterated what they had said in the past about not needing the heavier MJ version for our 1stGens. If anyone would like one of the PC680MJ's I'm sure we could get one, but the the difference will be an extra $11.00 bucks. Also take note that the batteries will be fresh from the supplier, and haven't been sitting on a dealers shelf for an extended period of time. http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc545_sm.jpg For 2ndGens the Odyssey is PC545. Your price each to your doorstep will be $94.00. Payments are to be sent via Paypal to paypal@cast-aways.com Bateries will be drop shipped directly from Odyssey, except for those batteries going into Canada. They'll be bluk shipped to us and then shipped from here. There will be a shipping surcharge for those batts shipped to Canada. I'll probably do the same thing as the MAC's which seemed to keep the cost down, and be agreeable with everyone. The prices work out to be Dealer cost plus $15 bucks to cover shipping and paypal charges. Canadian shipment will need to be adjusted once I get one here to do a shipping estimate. If you have any questions, or see something that's missing from the above please PM me. Jack
  7. I had a customer come into the shop yesterday with a Harborfreight trailer I haven't seen before: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/photos/02500-02599/02575.gif The dimensions are almost identical to the standard, red powder-coated, 12" and 8" wheel kits: Bed dimensions: 40" x 50"; Weight capacity: 1400 lbs; Gross vehicle weight: 1618 lbs; Receiver size: 1-7/8"; Tongue level height: 14"; Overall dimensions: 87-1/2"L x 52-3/4"W x 22-3/4"H But there are a few differences: It's powder-coated in black and not in the tacky red The diamond plate covers are included There are two extra stringers toward the hitch, stabilizing the platformI guess with a few minor modifications, this would make a perfect cargo trailer. Just add a roof-top carrier box, remove the leafs down to the main spring leaf and flip the axle (easy done as it is set-up for 0º Camber and 0 toe-in). The fenders should still be in an acceptable position with moderate loading. I would also recommend replacing the supplied, Chinese bearings and seals with something more suitable for highway use, even with proper lubrication and maintenance the life expectancy seems rather short. Also, don't expect too much from the quality of the powder-coat. It still looks better then the red stuff but is by no means perfect. Here is the link, unfortunately it does no seem to be a store item, but a special order catalog or Internet item only: http://www.harborfreight.com:80/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=2575 This link will give you any idea about assembly: http://www.harborfreight.com/manuals/2000-2999/2575.pdf As of today the price of the trailer is listed as $249.99 plus overweight shipping, not sure if you have to pay shipping if you order it in a physical store. I actually got a shipping quote of around $60. Hope this helps, Klaus
  8. a trunk rack that fits an 86-93 1stGen. The rack that the trunk and passenger rails mount to. Anyone have one laying around in halfway decent condition. I see them show up on Ebay all the time....until you need one..... For all you members up north I appreciate the thought, but shipping will cost a ton... Thanks for looking. Jack
  9. I have an extra seat for the 83 Venture that I bought first of the year. I'm wanting to recover it in black velour cloth and at the same time install gel pads. I was going to have the local shop do it but after seeing their work I better off doing it myself which stinks as well. Do we have professional seat re-builders in the family? If so I would like to see if any of you could help me out. I'll pay for all shipping cost and items needed for the seat If money is needed up front for materials this is no problem either. Would like to have it done before June or July so this will also give someone plenty of time to rebuilt it. Give me a PM Thanks Buddy
  10. I was checking my ad out on Windows Live Expo and saw a 2007 Venture in China for sale for $2860 plus $400 shipping. Just thought I'd pass it along. http://expo.live.com/ViewListing.aspx?lid=8191877&src=SCH&pos=6
  11. Have a pretty good used MT90 B16 74H. She could go another 4 or 5 thousand miles easy I would think. Thought someone who was thinking of trying the thinner front might be interested in it. It's yours for the shipping. I had it on my "06" and went to the standard Avon Venon front and installed the leveling links. The thinner front was a big difference, but I wanted more meat up front when I took my summer trip so I changed it out. I am going to stay with the standard front. I also have a used Dunlop 404 150/80-16 71H front that is in real good shape. It is also yours for the shipping. I changed it out when I put on the Avon Venoms. I just have both tires in my garage just laying around and thought I would post this to see if anyone was interested in them. I would not even have bothered it they were not in good shape.

  13. In September I won a bid on a Scottish Claymore carbon steel sword from a business called Sussen. Paid within minutes of winning the bid and began a long waiting session for the item to arrive. After a week of not hearing anything, I emailed them asking for a shipping status. A few days later I asked again for a shipping status. A few days after this I again asked for a shipping status, only this time I threatened to file a claim against them. Heard back from them that they were out of stock on that particular sword and would either refund the money or send it to me if I wanted to wait, so I waited. The following day I received email from them saying the sword was in and would be shipped the following day. Two more weeks went by and nothing was seen. So I emailed them again asking for a shipping status. Two days later I emailed them again asking for a shipping status and reminded them that I was still capable of filing a claim against them. Two days later I filed the claim with e-bay and after not hearing anything from them I completed the claim with PayPay. PayPal asked how I wanted to proceed, refund or the sword. Again I chose the sword. Sussen chose instead to refund the money. I filed negative feedback for the company as stongly as possible with only 80 characters. Now I've received email from a mediation company, hired by Sussen, to get me to recind my negative feedback, saying they did everything they could in good faith to make me happy. Don't know how many out there look at swords, but if you should, STAY CLEAR of any company with Sussen in the name.
  14. I had to do some touchup on my MM and over bought big time. I have base coat / top coat and clear.. I used so little of it and purchased it for 579.00 Willing to let it go for 200.00 plus shipping. I purchased thru ColorRite ..
  15. Given that I've had help from the forum with my wrenching fiasco, I'm doing a little myself. I have a set of gutted stock cans (mufflers) that I took off and did the RK Stage IV mod. I like them and won't put the stocker's back on. If you've toyed with gutting your stock cans, you can try these for the cost of shipping. I got a set of the RK cans off the RKR forum for shipping which was about $20. They are a bit tarnished but if you want to see what it's like they are yours for the shipping.
  16. Well folks as much as I hate to do this I am raising prices of the lift adapters by $10 per model. The new prices will go into effect Oct 14, 07. I've already updated the ad in the classified section reflecting the price increase. If you order before the deadline subtract $10 when placing the order. I've held out as long as possible avoiding this issuse but between shipping and raw material costs going up I have no choice. I have bought steel in a larger quanity to help offset that cost but shipping cost is nothing that I can control. Hopefully it'll be another year before I have to do this again. Thanks to everyone who have already bought an adapter from me Larry
  17. There is a Venture line travel trunk rack on ebay for a buy it now price of $70 plus $11.50 shipping if anyone is interested. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-VENTURE-TOURBOX-RACK-NEW_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35580QQihZ002QQitemZ120168798180QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Rick F.
  18. Is there any difference with the TCI for a 1200 and a 1300?? I just pickied up the guts from a 1300 TCI on ebay for $14 including shipping. It's biled as an '86 up but will it work on an '85??
  19. www.coveralls.biz These folks have offered a group discount with reduced shipping. I am offering to accumlate funds and order info, submit the order and then reship for free to those who have bought. I will let this thread run for a couple weeks. Those who would like to purchase can PM me what they want, their address and I'll provide you my address to mail me a check. Here is a link to the thread http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?threadid=11583 Here is a copy of some of the companies responses. David Rutledge from coveralls says: "If you have a "group", then we will gladly offer quantity discounts for the group. All that is necessary is to assemble the orders, with individual information, and then call me at (2140350-2690. You have to call because the shopping cart on the web page is set up to bill at one price only-full retail. To get the discount, we have to bypass that. We will give the following discounts to you and your group. 3-6 covers- 10% each, 6-9 covers-15% each, and more than 9-20% each. We will need to ship the covers in bulk if possible, but we can ship them individually and charge the normal shipping and handling charges on each one. You will save considerably on the bulk shipping, if someone will distribute them to the purchasers." Yes they do have an inner backing. We have been selling full covers for touring bikes for over three years now, and we have never-repeat-NEVER had even one complaint about a scratched windshield. And furthermore, never had a complaint related to paint being scratched either, and as you and I both know, that would be disastrous if it should occur. Hope this helps, and thanks for your interest in CoverAlls products! Hope to hear from you soon. For those that have questions, please PM them to me and I will submit them at once to the company. I'm thinking we might even want to approach them about a link to our site and theirs here, depending on how they treat us, but that would be up to Don. Thanks, Jay
  20. Anyboby on this board sell this kind of stuff? You can email me directly at ...LRAYVICK@cox.net. I think one site I checked had them for maybe $6.50 plus shipping. I also may need a few other items. I also posted this on the watering hole.
  21. I have decided to off a small discount to anyone purchasing either one of the Lift Adapter models during the month of Feburary. Standard adapters will be $70 and the freestanding model will be $120 and I'll include foot pads all that are sold then as well. As before shipping is included as well. Canadian members will have to make up any actual differences in shipping coasts. As they have in the past. Thanks one and all for your comtinued support. Larry
