Hi All, Have just purchased passenger floorboard mounts from nawarhorse in ebay store. They sent an email saying that shipping would be $US150--for two puny brackets:crying: I've sent an email requesting they use USPS which is cheaper, but have had no reply. Any advice on how I might get these bl***y brackets to Oz ?? I recently picked up another parts bike, a First Gen. MKII. It has a Cavalcade Seat on it and if anyone is interested in it I will send it to you for the cost of the shipping only. The riders area is a bit thread bare but the backrest and the passenger area is still good. The vinal (brown) part of the seat has no rips or tares and the foam is in very good condition. I hate to throw it away, so if anyone wants it for the shipping cost, let me know. Earl

I'm interested in finding someone who has a saddlemen seat for an RSV. I want to buy a new saddlemen seat but I really hate to pay for the seat and shipping only to find that I don't like it. Then have to go through the trouble of wrapping it back up and paying shipping plus a re-stocking fee. I was hoping that someone on this website might have a saddlemen seat on thier bike who lives anywhere within 250 miles of Albany, Georgia and wouldn't mind if I just sat on thier bike for a few minutes just to see if the saddlemen seat is the seat for me. I placed an order with http://www.milwaukeeleatheroutlet.com for a Kuryakyn touring bag on March 27. I received an automated email on April 1 from shane@californialeatherwear.com saying that my order had shipped, but it did not give a shipping date or a tracking #. After four email request for a shipping date and a tracking #, I have heard zero, nada, zilch and I am beginning to wonder if I have been taken. Maybe the reason they sold this item at such a good price with free shipping is that they don't actually ship. Let's see....... yep, that's 100% profit. Anyone had any experience with this company? When I ordered my tire from SWmoto I ordered the front size in a rear tire. Now I think I'm pretty well stuck with a new tire that won't fit anything I know. Anybody have a cross reference for tire sizes for the 150/80HB16 Rear in Dunlop 404's ? Shipping this thing back will cost more then probably putting it on Ebay. Any help will be appreciated. Just an FYI on my most recent order from Southwest Moto Tire in Tucson, Arizona. I have ordered from them many times before and always received the tires within 2-3 days (standard free shipping). I always considered this fantastic service. I just placed an order for three tires last Wednesday - Fed-ex shipping confirmation estimates delivery NEXT Wednesday - full 7 days. May not be too bad, but it is a far cry from what I have come to expect from SWMT. Can't say if this is due to the new owners or just a strange set of circumstances, but thought I'd at least share the info. Goose

Just wanted to let you all know that my incident on ebay is suppose to get resolved. The seller is suppose to send me a shipping label and refund me the purchase price. Of course I will be out for the shipping cost, but that's better than the whole amount. Can you purchase this from any where in the United States? Does anyone have a set of stock exhaust for a '08 RSV they want out of their shop. I am looking for a set cheap or cheaper. If you just want them gone before you throw them out I'll pay the shipping to get them out here so I can drill and try them. Let me know what you have. It's time to replace the battery in the 89. I do a battery replacement every three years buying one a year. The 84 got one last year and the 99 gets one next year. Battery life is usually over three years but this is part of my maint schedule. My choice has been to find a bargin battery. I have tried various offerings from Walmarts powermax, Tractor supplies champions, Kmart sells the sears die hard reasonable. I really have no complaints with any of them. $55 for a battery is not a bad price and no shipping charges or driving out of my way $$$ to find one. I know the Oddysey 680mj is probably the number one choice among riders and I understand the extra CCA it has.Also no Oddysey dealers anywhere in WV. Is it really worth with shipping three times the price? Can I expect 9 years of service instead of 3. Most of my riding is above 50 degrees so cold weather starting is not an issue. My next question is has anybody tried one of the maint free AGM batteries?

Baron's Bag Slash Slip-On Exhaust Paid $350.00 will take $250.00 plus shipping. These were only on the bike for about a month and are still in new condition. Driver Backrest This can be seen in my profile photo. It attaches to the bike with no modification and can be removed with no tools. Paid $150.00 will take $100.00 plus shipping. Cycle Sounds Speakers Paid $350.00 will sell for $200.00 plus shipping. Google Cycle Sounds and check them out. They work great if you are using stock exhaust but I would not recommend them if you will be adding loud pipes. After all the work on my carbs. Lately, what with the diaphragm replacement and the adjustment of the diaphragm needles, I finally bit the bullet and ordered the Morgan Carbtune Pro from the manufacturer's site: http://www.carbtune.com/ Right now, the dollar is strong against the pound and I was able to purchase the Carbtune Pro for $87.00 US with shipping! It arrived about 4 days later in excellent shape and I am looking forward to breaking this unit in this weekend. I didn't buy the pouch, mostly because of comments from this site that said if you want to put the Carbtune back in the pouch you had to disassemble the unit. I opted for a medium size plastic fishing tackle box from "Wally-World" for $9.00 and now I can leave all of the hoses connected and have storage "cubbies" for the adapters and what not.All in All I found the service from Morgan very good although you have to search around a bit to find the Carbtune Pro without the pouch, as they make it really easy to buy the "Combo Deal". When I was shopping for this unit in mid 2008, with the shipping it would have run $115.00 US, so I am glad I waited. With owning an 86'VR and an 87'VR I looking forward to Syncing the carbs on them both. Earl

While rebuilding the carberators on my 87' VR this past weekend, one of the hardest things was getting those phillips screws out of carb. covers! What a pain. I destroyed over half of them removing them. I searched all over town and bought a few boxes of Stainless Steel metric Allen Head cap screws and some really nice Stainless Steel flat washers to give my rebuild a nice "Custom Touch". After I bought the cap screws, I polished the heads of the cap screws on my buffing wheel to a mirror finish. I have a few sets of these cap screws left over and If anyone would like a set I have placed an ad in the Classifieds, the link is below. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/1643 I think you will find the quality of this hardware to be excellent! It was purchased from a Marine supply house and to top it off I have hand polished the head of every cap screw to a mirror finish! For our members North of the border, the shipping might be a bit more but I will only charge the actual shipping cost, nothing more. Paypal is prefered, Checks take a while to clear. You will get 16 cap screws and 16 washers, enough to do all 4 carbs.! Shipping is included to the lower 48 states. -
Well I got about 3 hours in yesterday since the temp got up and the salt was off the roads. Boy did it feel good! Stopped by my dealer and picked the new helmet I ordered. I really like it, but its a little heavier than what I had, so it will take a little getting used to. I was surprised that I could get it cheaper at my dealer than anywhere on the net. I get a 10% discount as a VIP customer. That combined with no shipping and I saved about $9 over any place I could find. Also even with the holidays it was in really quick. Switched over the J&M 1/2 helmet headset so, I am chomping at the bit form more warm weather. COME ON SPRING!!!!!

The question I have is about buying parts, the part is shipped and was damaged. Who is responsible for the part to replaced at no cost to me, the shipper or the company I bought the part from? So far every company I have bought parts from have stated if the part is damaged in shipping, they would replace it, but not this particular Yamaha dealer. Was told to go through the shipping firm, otherwise I am out the money I paid for the damaged part.
