  1. I just wanted to give tazmocycle a little recognition. I posted on here the other day that one of my work buddies broke his throttle on his V-star and asked if anyone had one. Don emailed me that he had one and shipped it to my friend for basically no charge. I would like to give him an attaboy for his help.
  2. Leveling Links are. --------( S O L D )--------- (and shipped) I have decided to add these to my list for sale (forgot about the links), when I pre-sold my air shock a couple days ago. I tell you that I am so glad that I purchased these last year made all the difference in the world on how my bike handled after the install. http://www.diamondraccessories.com/yamaha/proddisplay.php?name=Leveling%20Link%20Kit For $65.00 Shipped. The only things that I have left is the rear fender, rear tail light, Almost new rear tire. complete rear wheel Assembly. (click my handle for a pm or my email) Thanks, Jeff
  3. Where's the best price for a Darkside tire in 165/80R15 shipped to 79108? Federal SS657 for $75.36 shipped Kuhmo 758 for $69.32 shipped Nexen SB802 for $65.43 shipped Can anyone find a better price?
  4. The question I have is about buying parts, the part is shipped and was damaged. Who is responsible for the part to replaced at no cost to me, the shipper or the company I bought the part from? So far every company I have bought parts from have stated if the part is damaged in shipping, they would replace it, but not this particular Yamaha dealer. Was told to go through the shipping firm, otherwise I am out the money I paid for the damaged part.
  5. I have been getting requests for the 2nd Gen Bra set "Scooter Hooters" , for both upper and lowers fairings . I have been reluctant in taking orders as my time is limited . I still have a couple of pair of chaps and other items to make for other VR members , but I have decided to start making these "Scooter Hooters" available to the first 25 VR.Org members only at this time . So here is the deal . I can allot myself time to produce at least 2 complete sets of 2nd Gen Bra "Scooter Hooters" a week until I get caught up on my day job duties . I will make 25 sets available at a reduced price of $120.00 (US funds) per set (plus postage), on which I will take $20.00 of this money and donate in behalf with your name to a VR Fund . If all 25 sets are sold , that will generate $500.00 towards the VR Fund . If you wish to order , please make a post noting that you wish to order/reserve a set . I will not be asking for any money until your set of "Scooter Hooters" are ready to ship out . You will be notified by PM when they are ready to ship and also to obtain shipping address . I will set up a Pay Pal account and direct you to that account to send funds plus shipping . That person notified that their "Scooter Hooters" are ready , has (1) one week to to respond . If you do not respond , then that set will go to the next person in line on the list and your request will either be dropped to the bottom of the list or voided . In the case of a return/refund , only the sum of $100.00 will be refunded . The $20.00 for donation and shipping charges will be forfeited . VR.Org will not be held responsible in any way if there is a dispute or incident . That issue will be dealt with myself only . Once all 25 sets are sold , I will be sending the funds to Black Owl for deposit into the VR Fund account . These "Scooter Hooters" will be made of clothe backed Vynl , Black in color only . If you desire another color , Vynl spray paint can be obtained at your local automotive supply store . It takes myself less than a minute to place on or take off the uppers . About 2 minutes to place on the lowers and you will have to get down on your knees or back to fasten to scoot's fairing bottom . They will not interfere with lower vents , nor foot-pegs that I am aware of. They will not interfere with grill guards either . You will need to remove occasionally to clean/remove any grit that may be air born and get caught in between the bras and fairings . Here are some photo's of my set for viewing . Perhaps we can get SleeperHawk's Mechanic to post photo's of their's "scooter Hooters" for viewing as well. If you have any questions , please ask . BEER30 1) 1-UP (Paid-Shipped) 2) Christo (Paid -Shipped) 3) Blueslover (Paid -Shipped) 4) 1rooster (Paid -Shipped) 5) kozman01(Paid -Shipped) 6) Monsta 7) lateralvibe (Cancelled) 8) Midnight Rider 9) wizard503us

  15. I thought that now would be a good time to start another group buy, and called Odyssey to check on pricing, I just got off the phone with them and everythings a go, however they are out of stock on both the PC545 and the PC680, but they expect to receive a new shipment the first week of May, so the timing's right. We still need to get 10 members.... or more. PC680, PC680MJ http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc680_sm.jpg For 1stGens, the Odyssey is PC680. Your price each to your doorstep will be $110.00. Be aware that this is the non-metal jacket battery. I discussed the application at length with Odyssey , and they reiterated what they had said in the past about not needing the heavier MJ version for our 1stGens, but if anyone would like one of the PC680MJ's the price will be $121.00 to your doorstep. Also take note that the batteries will be fresh, and haven't been sitting on a dealers shelf for an extended period of time. PC545, PC545MJ http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc545_sm.jpg For 2ndGens the Odyssey is PC545. Your price each to your doorstep will be $104.00. If you'd like the PC545MJ (Metal Jacket) it will be $118.00 Payments are to be sent via Paypal to paypal@cast-aways.com Batteries will be drop shipped directly from the supplier, except for those batteries going into Canada. They'll be bluk shipped to me and then shipped from here. There will be a shipping surcharge for those batts shipped to Canada. I'll probably do the same thing as the MAC's which seemed to keep the cost down, and be agreeable with everyone. The prices work out to be Dealer cost plus $20 bucks to cover shipping and paypal charges. The last time I charged $15, but I ended up loosing about 4 bucks per battery. So this time I'm covering my rear... Canadian shipments will need to be adjusted once I get one here to do a shipping estimate. If you have any questions, or see something that's missing from the above please PM me. Jack
  16. I was wondering if any of you have ever had any good/bad (and with what company) experiences shipping a car. I've got to get a 1974 MGB MkIII roadster (nonrunning) shipped from Lincoln, NE to somewhere near my home. I've never had to use a shipping company before. When I bought a vehicle out of state I would either get a bus ticket and drive it home, or gas up the truck, grab the trailer, and go get it. With Diesel fuel being $4+ per gallon I'm thinking it might be cheaper and easier to just have it shipped. I'd appreciate any input any of you might have.
  17. The last time I posted this thread it was pretty short notice and although we did get 5 members to commit it just wasn't enough. But hey, we tried. I just got off the phone with Odyssey, trying to get 2008 pricing from them, and I have some good news. Odyssey agreed to hold the 2007 prices until the end of the month for us. So the prices posted below are still good until 1/31/08. We still need to get 10 members.... or more, but the timing isn't as critical this time around. Here's a cut and paste of the important info..... http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc680_sm.jpg For 1stGens the Odyssey is PC680. Your price each to your doorstep will be $99.00. Be aware that this is the non-metal jacket battery. I discussed the application at length with Odyssey , and they reiterated what they had said in the past about not needing the heavier MJ version for our 1stGens. If anyone would like one of the PC680MJ's I'm sure we could get one, but the the difference will be an extra $11.00 bucks. Also take note that the batteries will be fresh from the supplier, and haven't been sitting on a dealers shelf for an extended period of time. http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc545_sm.jpg For 2ndGens the Odyssey is PC545. Your price each to your doorstep will be $94.00. Payments are to be sent via Paypal to paypal@cast-aways.com Bateries will be drop shipped directly from Odyssey, except for those batteries going into Canada. They'll be bluk shipped to us and then shipped from here. There will be a shipping surcharge for those batts shipped to Canada. I'll probably do the same thing as the MAC's which seemed to keep the cost down, and be agreeable with everyone. The prices work out to be Dealer cost plus $15 bucks to cover shipping and paypal charges. Canadian shipment will need to be adjusted once I get one here to do a shipping estimate. If you have any questions, or see something that's missing from the above please PM me. Jack
  18. I just received word that our VentureRider Guardian Bells are being shipped to me today. That means that I should have them in a two or three days and will then get them shipped out to you ASAP.
  19. Well according to the dealer my first HD Ultra was built today. I think they are built in PA at the plant that did not lay off. I guess I'll see next week when the dealer said it would be shipped.
  20. I finally decided to order myself a Clearveiw windshield last Wednesday via phone . I received a phone call this past Friday (2 days later) to say it's ready to ship out to me . It was shipped that same day and I should receive it on the 27th . On the website and at time of ordering via phone , I was told the dreaded 7-8 week lead time . You see , Miracles do happen or is it that I am just a nice guy ! :rotf: When I placed the order and received the phone call about the shield being shipped sooner , they were very friendly and pleasant to talk with , almost as if I were sitting on the back deck drinking a beer with them . Now that's service ! I ordered the XX-tra tall , tinted shield to help the buffering off of her head . Now , what's next to add to the scoot ? BEER30

    New Mufflers

I just put a set of Wild Pig pipes on my RSTD yesterday and boy do they sound good. I tried the Road King muffs but they were just too mild. If anyone is looking for a set of aftermarkets check these out on Ebay. They were only $180 shipped.
  22. I put the drilled ultra classic mufflers on my bike last night and was a little bit disappointed. They are a little deaper but still too quiet. I'm used to the Cobras on my Shadow. I don't think my wife will let me spend $400 on a set of Samsons or Bubs but what about Rolling hunder mufflers? They are only $200 shipped. Anyone have these on their 2nd gen? I heard a sound clip but its hard to tell much from it. http://www.rollingthunderpipes.com/products.htm
