All I can say is wow. Just got back last weekend from 6 days of riding in the hills of WV. I love twisties but there are so many there it got to the point where I was happy to see a straight road. The roads are in good shape and very little traffic making for some really great riding. The people were very friendly also. I highly recomend a trip there if you have never been there.

Wife backed into my bike the other day and now I'm looking for a new front fender for my '09 RSTD. Local body shop wants $1100 to fix so thinking I can surely find a used one in good shape. Checked the usual suspects (Pinwall, ebay) and gonna start calling junkyards next. Any other places I should be looking?

4.6 V8 and only 78,000 miles, from a widow friend who just lost her husband. EBay looks like it should go for $4-6,000 in mint shape; this is the top of the line, too. I suspect it is in great shape. She wants $2,500-3,000, and we went to grad school together; trustworthy. I am just wondering if anyone here knows of the reliability of that particular car. Thanks for thinking and any posts. Does anyone out ther have a passenger backrest pan to fit a 2009 Royal Star Venture trunk? Doesnt matter if cushion is torn or in good shape. I recon anything 1999 to 2009 will work. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

bought an 86 back before thanksgiving as a project/parts bike. paid $400 for it. had been sitting in a carport for 10+ years. after stripping it down pretty well and lubing everything i could find, replacing all fluids and checking out as much as i could on the way, she's finally back together (mostly). maiden voyage was yesterday, a short spin down the highway, and its runnin GREAT! I replaced a few parts but for the most part every thing was in good shape so ive got less than $600 bucks into it...YEEHAW!!! even better is that i now have something to compare my 87 to. its been having problems that i cant track down, but now i know that it definately isnt right. I will be trading parts back and forth till it runs like this new 86. what a pleasure to ride a good working machine! thanks for listening to me brag

Anyone that made new Years resalutions still sticking to em? I know some of us do this every year but Im determined to see it thru this time. My goal in to drop 35 or 40 pounds and get back into shape. I usta always stay in pretty good shape when I was younger and Im just surprised to feel how fast the body goes south when I dont. Been walking 5 miles a day on a treadmill and riding 5 on a stationary bike. Ive had this plan since thanksgiving so I used the time between then and christmas to build myself up to it. Didnt do it every day but Im glad I did it some cuz it's getting alot easier now. Also throwing in some weight lifting and eating better. (much better) And Im feeling alot better already, matter of fact I just finished my 5 on the treadmill and I even jogged a lil part of it- (very Little) but was wondering if anyone else has similer goals?

I've got a couple things from my '86 VR that I'm going to try to sell, problem is I have no idea how much they're worth. I was hoping you guys could provide some info. 1. Set of Air Deflectors with mounting brackets, good shape to be from a 23 year old bike. No discoloration and only minor scratches. 2. Driver's back rest with mounting brackets. Very good shape only issue is slight fraying in the leather where the back rest mounts on the bike. I've looked on ebay, but I can't find either of these things listed to get an idea for a price. Some knew of Peg's Mom's passing and the extra bills that hits us hard, well it hit even harder this time around. I went to the doctor feeling I had the Flu or something but he said I was a walking dead man my blood pressure was out of this world so I was rushed to the E.R. and had a lot of tubes sticking in me. They finally got me back down, they did a lot test and said my heart was in good shape and my blood count seem to be OK?. They did not know why my blood pressure was so high? They was really scared about it? . Peg was not in good shape either just loosing her Mom and now she was worried about me passing. I have to go back next week for a follow up with my Doctor. I went back to work at Wal-mart (second job) to help with the added bills and my Doctor told me that was not a good thing. May have been the cause of me going down? With all this happening and the extra bills added on, I will need to sell my bikes:( to help Pay off bills untill then I'll have to work at Wal-mart untill things get better. ? or worse? So if you know anyone looking for a nice 2003 Venture or 2001 Gold Wing give me a PM . I still have a loan on each. God Bless Buddy

I have 3, count them, three sets of passenger grab rails for a MK1 up for "Grabs" if anyone needs them. These are all virtually rust free and in very good shape. Also, I have a pair of stock horns available as well. There's a lot of 1st gen parts I will be getting rid of in the coming months...

1999 Bunkhouse Camper King size bed with 5' X 6' dressing room Also has an add-a-room which when attached makes the entire unit 27 foot long. 78 yrs old says everything is in excellent shape. Haven't seen it yet--- How much is it worth ? It's only which it seems that I don't have enough of.

This camper is for sale around the corner from me. We set it up halfa** so you could see it. He said it was a timeout, but I don't think it is. He doe's not know what yr. it is but has a video about it and the set up instructions. The first time I looked at it he said to make him an offer. This time he said $700.00. It does need some TLC but seems to be in good shape. There is a small hole in both door flaps that could be easily fixed. All the zippers are in good shape as well as the netting. He said it doesn't leak, but don't know when he used it last, the canvas looks and feels good, doesn't seem to be rotten or anything. Under the wood floor is storage and you can put a pole in the wood to use it as a table inside the camper. You use an air mattress to sleep on. I picked up a 92 connie last week for $800. It had been sitting for 5 years. Bought a battery cleaned the carbs and gas tank and she fired right up. The body is in great shape. I know pics... I will get to it soon. Ride safe Rod

I bought my wife a 1990 Virago 1100 for Christmas. The odometer showed 17,000 and change. The bike looked to be in really great shape. However, I have had to add about 1/2 quart of oil every 250 miles. If the odometer was correct at 17,000 miles, I would think the rings should still be in good shape. It doesn't leak any oil. Is there anywhere else the oil could be going besides ring blow-by? Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

i met up with a new venturerider.org member last night named Evan, what a great guy. we had lots to talk about, he is a very avid rider who has done many trips, and looking forward to joining in on many rides, meets and eats, and ice cream. we had a go at his new to him 88. sweet ride, very nice shape, but i would like to set up his carbs for him. is there anyone in and around Toronto that has a manometer for setting up the carbs. cheers, Scott:beer:

Was wondering if the valve cover gaskets on my 98 RSTD could be re used. The bike has about 35k on it and upon inspecting them the look really in good shape. If I have to purchase can someone give me a good sight to buy from? -
