Wanted: Old "Bad" Venture Coils I put a temporary sticky with this message in the General Tech area, but since I haven't heard from anyone, thought I'd give it a try here too. I was hoping some of those coils that folks have recently replaced might still be laying around! If you have one and are willing to part with it, I will happily pay for the shipping, or just ride to your place and pick it up! Thanx. ================================================================== I want to get my hands on old coils that anyone has taken off when suspecting them to be bad. Interested in coils from any models, but particularly 2nd gens. I have an old automotive oscilloscope that I want to use to try and identify what the "normal" cause of the failure is, and if there is anything we can do about it. In addition, I would like to see if I can devise some sort of test that anyone can use (without a scope or special tools) to accurately identify a bad coil. If you have changed one or more and are just going to toss the old coils, will you please send them to me instead? PM me and I'll send you my address. Ok, I need to donate to the DBF (Dropped Bike Fund) Dropped the wing in the Dairy Queen parking lot on the way home from vacation. I was trying to turn around with the trailer hooked up and there was a big dip in the parking lot that left my Left leg dangling in mid air which in turn made us S L O W L Y go over. No harm no foul and really easy to pick the Wing up. Boy those crash bars really do a god job. So..............where do I send it?

OK folks, it's been a while since we have had any new T-Shirts made up for our members. Crash used to take care of this but he is no longer in the business. Do we have any members here who are in the silk screening business? I am looking for somebody who is willing to help me with the design of a new shirt, willing to have them made up and do the inventory, shipping, etc. If you are interested, send me a PM or an email and we'll see what we can work out. We already have a member who does embroidery on caps and shirts but not screenprinting, dye sublimation, etc. If nobody here is in the business, I'll start looking for a vendor elsewhere.

I got a offer in the mail the other day stating that I have been nominated for a charter membership in Motorcycle Riders Club of America. They sent me a nice little writting pad, a card with my name on it and a zipper pull of an American Eagle. I just can't think of what I ever did to deserve this great honor. They said they would send me stuff for me to try out and then I would have to write a little blurb about if I kiked it or not and why. But I get to keep what ever they send me! Maybe they will send me new Venture to try and to keep. All this for one little monthly fee! WOW! Do you think they send everybody stuff to try or just us "Charter Members" ? Any boby else out there that is also a "Charter Member" OH HAPPY DAY!!!!! :banana::banana:

Hello folks. I have a set of brand new Road King Muffler brackets inadvertantly sent to me by Mark Hilliss. When I asked him what to do with them, he said I could offer them for a donation for Freebird. Sounded good to me. Thanks Mark. decided to put this here instead of the middle of the watering hole....... got a call this morning they finally got dna results back........ what they found was something called p3 it is not semen but found in semen........and they didnt get a match..... prosecutors office thinks there may have been a mistake or tests werent right....where else would this have come from??? there are 2 labs here......one is kansas city crime lab and the other state highway patrol.......so they are going to send to send to other lab and get it retested... we are only a month away from the pretrial hearings starting so hopefully they get some fast turn around this time..... I was almost devastated after waiting all this time and then not getting a match on him. so i guess we wait some more and hope for better results this time.... they assured me this wouldnt hurt our case because of his statement and the other evidence.... this really depressed me.......i was so sure we would get some positive results to help put this slime away without question

When Circuit City closed I bought a battery I had hoped would fit my little HD camera but it was the wrong one. Close but no cigar. Soooo, I have a replacement for the CGA-S005A battery available for the asking. Either that or I go out and buy yet another camera that it will fit, like I need another camera... Hi all, I was unsure weather or not to bring this up here, then I noticed where we had a weight loss thread open so I thought I'd put this out there. I found a new tool, an alternate nicotine delivery system if you will, that has helped me more than I ever thought possible. I have smoked for over 30 years and was up to over two packs a day. I had tried everything from patches to pills with no success. Now, even wit the stress of moving, I havent had a cigarette in almost 8 days and so far the hardest part to cope with has been the return of my sense of smell! I'm not out to sell anything, or premote any specific product in anyway. That being said, if anyone is intrested, send me a pm.Or if a Moderator wants to check it out first, get ahold of me and I'll tell you where to look for info on what I'm using. I love this forum and don't want to break any rules, so I need to find the proper way to pass this along. At the risk of sounding totally sappy, this has really changed my life. Pain.

just put my secound I basket in and it still makes the same noise. that sucker still screams at about 24-32 hundred rpms. it is even lowder than the g basket i took out . I wish i had a H basket to put in or a p-q-r-m-or somthing to stop the noise lol. and on top of that my shock just started leaking, and my guy at the dealer said he had to have my bike long enough to take picture of shock -send it in before they would send another to us. he said this takes about 2 weeks??? O- O-what will i do for 2 weeks??

While the bike is apart this winter I want to upgrade the flasher to a modern flasher that can handle LED lights. I see that the flasher needed is a 3 wire type but I'm confused as to how the canceller works. What signal does the canceller send to the flasher? does it send it a +12V when it wants to cancel the flasher? does it ground it? I have the wiring diagram but it does not explain how the flasher system works at all. I'm trying to figure out what kind of flasher to buy that will go in place and support LED turn signals and still retain the bikes functionality. What speed does the flasher cancel trigger? How to I make it more reliable as it sometimes does not cancel and sometimes it does. Thanks! -
This afternoon my youngest sister was in a car accident and was killed. I won't go into any more detail than that. She was single and had no children. Leaves behind my dad, my other sister, my brother and myself. Many of you here are a lot tighter with the big guy than I am these days so if you could send up a few good thoughts for our family it would be appreciated. She was my dad's little girl and he is taking it hard. Thanks everyone.

OK I was setting here thinking how wonderful St Judes is. A place where the less fortunate can take there kids and get help for them. Then I looked over and seen the number of members we have here 5740. So I was thinking and trusted me I do not do that vary often it hurts when I do it. If the ones who could, would put one dollar in a envelope and send it to Squidley it would be a small thing for us but a big thing for ST Judes. $1 less then a coke, about the same as an bottle of water or a candy bar. If we could send more then that would be great to. I hope I do not offend anyone but I think this is a wonderful cause. All we need is a address and I know all of us big hearted Venture rides will come through again we aways do. Ride safe and as I have heard before never ride faster then your angel can fly.
