  1. There have been a lot of this type of thing circulate as spam emails in recent years but I can vouch for this one. My cousin's daughter's 2nd grade class is looking for postcards! If you can help by sending one from your area, that would be great and very much appreciated. Thank you for anything you can do! Here are details: Nola's class is asking people to send them postcards from other places. They are going to read the postmark and label that town on their class map. Then they will read the postcard and find out who sent it. If there is information about the place, the town or the state they will learn about that too. If you have an opportunity, could you send a postcard to: Mrs. Larson's Class Clay Central/ Everly Box 110 Royal, Iowa 51357
  2. The following is an e-mail I sent out to several friends and family about sending and forwarding e-mails. If anyone wants to copy this and also send it to anyone, go for it. I hope it makes sense. RandyA My e-mail New Years Resolution This one is a little different and it is one I am also going to ask that you also do. You may notice that it looks like I just sent this to you only, when actually, I sent it to over ten people. The reason it looks this way is I put everyone's e-mail name/address in the BCC box rather than in the TO or CC box. I have been trying to do this for awhile, but a current post on my motorcycle web site about virus problems being associated with e-mails being passed around suggested the very same thing to keep them to a minimum. First of all, I want to say that I really do enjoy the e-mails that many of you send me. Some are inspirational, some are informative, some are really funny and some are downright naughty. I love them, but I have to say that when I open an e-mail and there is a history of many, many names and e-mail address being shown as to where it had been sent, it always concerns me. I know that my e-mail address is also being forwarded as part of the history. This is also how many of our e-mail addresses end up being part of a phishing expedition and how spam gets forwarded and how some of you got an e-mail that looked like it was sent from me recently trying to get you to buy Viagra. This is real simple and only takes a minute. When you forward an e-mail, highlight all those addresses and occasional comments and simply delete them. And, it also makes it look like I took the extra effort to send an e-mail to just YOU and you alone and don't that make you feel special? Thanks everyone and I hope you all are going to have as great of a New Year as I am planning on having!!
  3. Hi All........ Please PM me your address...the wife has somthin up her sleeve....and I might want to send you a Puppy!! LOL Thanks, Kreg
  4. Just want to give out an offer to any of our members (be it here in Texas or any other place close by) that may not have plans for Thanksgiving. Lonna is like a Ninja in the kitchen, she loves to cook the big holiday meals, actually gets put out a bit when she can't do it We have been very blessed this year with work and monies coming in. We have a ham and I will be deep frying a turkey and the fixins will come along for the ride. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come over, I know there will be enough food to feed an army. I very sincerely extend this offer to come to our home and share in Thanksgiving with us. PM me if your interested and I can send you an address
  5. A WOMAN'S POEM: Before I lay me down to sleep, I pray for a man who's not a creep, One who's handsome, smart and strong. One who loves to listen long, One who thinks before he speaks, One who'll call, not wait for weeks. I pray he's rich and self-employed, And when I spend, won't be annoyed. Pull out my chair and hold my hand. Massage my feet and help me stand. Oh send a king to make me queen. A man who loves to cook and clean. I pray this man will love no other. And relish visits with my mother. A MAN'S POEM: I pray for a deaf-mute gymnast nymphomaniac with big boobs who owns a bar on a golf course, and loves to send me fishing and drinking. This doesn't rhyme and I don't give a sh _ _.
  6. Me think i got a lot of work to do , all 5 need new batterys , 1 takes 3 batterys and 2 of them take 5 A friend of mine imported 25 of them and 10 of them had bad batterys in them , the 1st time he tried to charge them , they burned up the chargers , the China company will not take them back or send more batterys , so after a year he gave 7 of them to me . 7. With the Zumo 550. This one needs to be sent in for repair . Its 150 to fix it. Anybody wanting to get a deal on a Zumo 550 PM me. I'll sell this one for 150 and that includes shipping. Will send both mounts also. That will get you a Zumo 550 for 300. I'm beginning to see a need for a bigger screen and that's pretty much the decision maker for me.
  8. Ok guys this is like almost a dream come true. I am parting out a 84' wrecked Venture. It was wrecked at 1,032 miles and has never seen the sun since. I bought it at estate auction and the brother told me it has been in the garage ever since the wreck. Like I said "almost a dream come true" it has already partially been dismantled over time some pcs have been lost. If interested in anything from this bike ( Carbs and Engine SOLD) please feel free to send me a PM message and your offer. I can send pictures:thumbsup2: Thanks Gannon
  9. Is there a way to send a notification to a member about a thread you may think they would be interested. I can always cut and paste and then send them an PM, but was thinking of forward button, which would send the link to the messages ? Brad

  15. Life takes us down many roads, some we navigate, some are navigated for us. Along the way, decisions have to made when we find ourselves at crossroads. I've decided it's necessary to sell my 2008 RSVS. With just over 4k it'll last someone a LONG time. The price is right, PM me and I'll send pix and a list of nice touches. (email, speedyg@nsatel.net). I'm not leaving VR, fact is I just renewed my membership. RENNE

  17. I have an owners manual for a '98 shadow spirit for anyone who wants it. No takers will send it to the trash.
  18. OK Folks, I have been working with a patchmaker out on the left coast and she will be doing our patches for the rally. They are a bit pricey, but have 8 colors in them and a good amount of detail. The patches will be $12.50 a piece and we can either send them to you or you can pick them up at the rally. I am putting a poll up for the #'s game on how many we need to have made and it will display your name for how you voted so I can keep track of it. I will come back in a later thread and give details on where and to whom to send the monies to. If you have question PM me or ask them in the thread, I will keep this bumped up to the top and we'll let it run for 2 weeks or so....here is a pic of the patch.
  19. Hey don, I know you or the other moderators monitor the thread post all the time. My question is are the PM,s monitored or are they private as the P in PM states. Not stirring a pot just wanting to maake sur eif I send a PM Im not going to get in trouble on that aspect. David
  20. :225::225:You know some times no matter how hard you try things just seem to go from bad to worse. About 5 and 1/2 months ago I sent some parts to a vendor to have the levers leather wrapped and some other parts leather worked. So my MM has been sitting 5 1/2 months. I have been trying to get the guy wrapping the levers to send me the levers for 6 weeks. I told him I wanted to get my MM on the road. He keeps telling me he will send them right out. Well the last time he was suppose to send them right out was by last Saturday. I'm still waiting. Now this is frustrating enough by itself so I decided to try and find some used levers to put on the MM until and if I get my levers back. Well I got the used levers in night before last and tried to install them. Well guess what. The front brake lever did not have the 6mm screw in it. Well if you think about it (now I'm thinking about it) you would need that screw if you change to new levers. Okay so I'll replace the clutch lever and run down to the Yamaha Stealer for parts. Well I go to install the lever and I notice something is missing. Then I remember I found a part on the floor awhile back I didn't recognize. So I get the part and run up to the computer and check and sure enough it goes between the clutch lever and the clutch master cylinder. Alright I know where it goes now all I have to do is install it. I go to install it and I notice I'm still missing a part. Ah ha I remember finding another part I did not know what it was and I also remembered where it was. Alright I got it but I needed to do something so I laid the part I just got on the corner of a box and I when and did whatever it was I needed to do. Alright I get back to replacing my lever and for some stupid reason I decided to move some boxes before I got started. Well remember the box I put the part on well that is one of the boxes I moved. Oh know! Where did the part go. I have hunted two days for that part and still have not found it. So now I have to order that part along with the screw and nut for the other lever. I get to the Yamaha Dealer and of course they don't have any of the parts in stock. Why would they? So I order the parts and of course it will take 3 to 5 days. I sure will be glad when this is all over.
  21. With ANZAC DAY approaching [sunday 25th April] we were given the opportunity to send messages to our men and women over seas. Anzac Day is very significant to us, and goes back to WW1 and the battle at Gallipoli. If you would like to send a message supporting Aussie troops: http://www.telstra.com/anzacday "At the going down of the sun And in the morning We will remember them LEST WE FORGET

OMG! Ugly white stuff fell out of the sky this morning! Samples have been sent away to the U.S. for analysis. The city of Victoria is in chaos, there is panic in the streets. Send supplies now. Cases of Scotch, Brandy, Rum etc, oh yeah, I guess a loaf of bread wouldn't hurt. Send them all to me and I will dri...er...distribute them to the needy. Wait a minute, the sun is out, the white stuff is gone, all is OK, but send the supplies just in case.
  23. I am looking for the list to see where to send the pro dvd to. Can some one tell me where to find it Please
  24. Is anyone else experiencing any problems logging on to PayPal, I have been trying for over an hour and cant get onto the site, system keeps timing out...........I am trying to send Rick Butler a payment.
  25. I have a Fairing Sub Frame that came off of my 1988 parts bike that I am going to scrap. Reason being, I cleanly removed the cruise control brackets from it. I needed them on my 1983 scooter for the cruise addition. It is still serviceable, just no cruise brackets, one picture shows where I removed these two brackets. I guess it's not really free, I will send it out for the price of shipping though. It's going in trash in a few days if no one wants it. I would rather not send outside US, with the customs stuff though. Gary
