It looks like we wont be making it to Dons this weekend as the trike is in the shop getting the cruise repaired and hopefully getting rid of the whine in the engine. We hope everyone has a great time as always at Dons and hopefully the pond monster will not make an appearance this year. ride safe everyone. Mike and T

For many years I have used Advance Auto wearever brake cleaner. AS it is non-chlorinated and WAS safe on paint. NOW they have changed to a 50 state formula as stated on the back of the can. The new stuff uses a black spray nozzle, previous used a clear nozzle and the new formula contains ACETONE. Thus it is no longer safe on painted surfaces. I found out the hard way. Also CRC brand in the green can seems to be the identical formula.

I put 4 new tires on the wifes pickup today. I still had another 6-8000 miles of safe running on the old set but. The weather man is calling for back to back snow events all month for February.Better safe then sorry. Ramona still won't drive in snowy weather. I could buy her a D9 and she still wouldn't drive it in the snow.

I was woke up this morning by the leading report on Good Morning America about the record rainfall, snow melt runoff and record flooding in your area that's going on. I immediately thought of you and our other members up in the NorthWest corner of the country. Please respond if you can and let us know if your safe and out of harms way. Or if not what I or others of us can do to assist you if your in trouble. Until I know I'll just pray that you and your family are Ok and out harms way. As I'm sure others will be doing that are reading this post.

And if not traveling , please pray for those whom will be for a safe trip . Also if you can , please support your local soup kitchen , veterans hospital , Wounded Warriors , our Senior Citizens or church functions to help aid or donate for the less fortunate . This is the time to Thank the Man upstairs and your fellow brother/neighbor . So saying after I give Thanks , I'll be pigging out ! Pass the Giblets , PLEASE ! BEER30

Not long ago I posted my early winter arrival. Well, in Alaska you can not ignore it. It is awesome if you just visit, however, it can be deadly in a semi. Alan had to take a load down there and for two days now, I have not heard from him. He had send me via e-mail pictures and I'm very worried. The roads are narrow, icy and snow packed. Not excactly where you want to be in a semi. He told me if I have not heard from him by Tuesday to call the authority. I was hoping you all would say a prayer for his safe return. My sincere thanks Renate

I'm 5' 8" and have stock RSV 2008. The Chrome Filler Cap reflection on Windshield is annoying and not Safe at times. What have some of you "seasoned" RSV Riders 2nd Geners doing about it? I think maybe a Dark Beverage Can Cooler cut off the bottom and invert it over the Chrome Filler Cap? Ideas?

Sorry I have been so absent! The job has consumed my life over the last few months and will probably continue to do so until the end of the year. I have been popping in and reading and trying to keep up with everyone's activities, so keep posting so I stay current! Deb and I have not really been out on the bikes since we got back from Michigan back on July, so we need to at least correct that problem as soon as possible. Anyway just wanted to check in, say hi and ride safe!

My navigator and I are planning a last minute get-a-way for next week. We want to go to Hot Springs Arkansas. We will probably stay for two nights before coming back home. Does anyone have any recomendations for a good, reasonable, safe place to stay? And...while in the area what would be a "DON'T MISS THIS" thing to see or do??? Any and all ideas are appreciated. Mike

Everyone stay safe down there in TX. Ike isn't gonna be a nice storm at all. They said it's pushing water up into FL, AL, MS, and LA which can't be much fun. Hope it does something they aren't calling for and weaken some before hitting you. Margaret
