So I finally took the carb tune out of the box (That i received two months ago)and took a dive into Synching the carbs so I got er all hooked up, got er started and well?, (I can say that my first gen 84 venture royale runs like a champ with an estimated 65000 miles on her and only running on 3?, well we'll just say 2 1/4 carbs. I can hardly wait to run on 4 carbs that are all synched together.) so back to the post, I didnt actually get to synch the carbs today because i am now going to have to rebuild at the very least one carb #1 and since IM there I might as well go ahead and do them all. I hook it all up and started it and found 1 running at 0 #2 running at around 8 and 3&4 running at 35 or so. Has anybody else found this before? and is there an easier fix for now before rebuilding the carbs? Also, does anyone have the part # for the VMAX floats that work in the first genner carbs? Can I just say that I love my royale...... :225:Thank you all for your time. Mike

A friend of mine dropped by last night to show of his '86 Aspencade with 86K miles which he bought for $1000. By the outside lights it looks like it is pretty decent. He plans to ride it until he finishes customizing his wing's paint job and offered to sell it to me at that time for the same 1000. Without other research (you guys are it so far), I imagine that you guys are going to tell me that at that price I can't go wrong?? How about the bike itself? Problem areas (alternator?)? How does it compare to my '83 Royale? Or is that like apples and oranges? Thanks!

I was wondering if any riders are in the yuma arizona area in january we are from northern b.c. And i brought my new 2011 royale with us and was planning to do some riding from yuma any suggestions ???

Hi all! I took a quick look at an 84 Venture and I think it might be a Royale but it doesn't have any Royale badging. But it is loaded with the Class air ride, factory cruise, rider/passenger comm. stereo w/speakers. So do you think it's a Royale or a loaded standard model? And how would I go about test driving for the worn 2nd gear, just jump on it in 2nd see if it stays in gear? Thanks! -
I just purchase 1992 Venture Royale which has the cb that will not come on. The lights work but no number appear, and can not get any sound from the radio. It will not change channels with the unit or with the handle bar controls

I have a disagreement with a vendor about when the FIRST Royale was introduced. He has parts listed from 1983 as Royale parts and although most of them would possibly fit, I say it wasn't until the Mk2 came out in 1986. Prior models were known as just plain vanilla Ventures! Who's right? I looked at the Venture History and it doesn't specifically say, but I think I'm right! Help me out. It isn't an argument, I'm just a stickler for details.

I recently had the opportunity to buy a 1990 Royale, it runs great and now that riding season has started here in CO i've had more chances to get her out and let her run. I do have one question since this is my first experience with the Venture line, mine seems to ride really hard, I've set the air suspension at different levels over the past few days but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if so what can I do to correct it. Thanks in advance for your help... Bob 1990 Venture Royale 2003 Roadstar 2007 R1

This question has probably been asked but I couldn't find anything searching the forum. I'm considering buying a Venture Royale or Kawasaki Voyager XII. I realize where the prejudices lie in this forum, but I would be interested in your thoughts and opinions on the two bikes. Note: If I buy the Venture, I will become a subscribing member! I just had my carb redone and i still am having a problem.when I drive below 4500rpm i am only on 2 cylinders. as soon as i reach 4500rpm I take off in all cylinders. does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this. I have a 1985 royale. Thanks chefjim

I am looking at purchasing an '83 without a radio. How difficult are they to install. Are there speakers in the 83 by default, just no radio. This bike is stock, not Royale. Thank you.

1988 Venture Royale. The pull throttle cable on the VR broke at the handlebar pivot. How difficult is it to replace it? Any special tools? Any words of advice? I won't have time to get into it until Tuesday, so any words from you 1st-gen experts will be welcome. Thank you in advance. Does anybody have a source for Michelins for 88 Venture Royale? I have call 3 places and they are out or cant get -
His 1990 Venture Royale is ready for the road. Put the bike together tonight and will licence the new scoot tomorrow. I will post pics of him and his new bike tomorrow. He’s at work tonight and has school tomorrow so they will have to wait. He doesn’t know I worked on it tonight so it will be a surprise when he gets in. This is a big jump for him from a 600 Shadow to a 1300 Royale

I just paid a guy $400 for his 83 Royale with 59,000 miles on it. He wanted $500 - offered him $400 and he jumped on it! I was going to offer less but we jumped it and it started right up. He said the clutch needed bled but wasn't sure. The seat has duct tape - rust on some of the chrome - could use a paint job (son does body work) - but has newer tires and seems to run good. He said 2nd gear just started to act up. Anyway - I figure for the money - it is good entertainment!

Just found a 1986 Venture Royale with 34k miles on it. Y'all know i had the 87 Venture standard up til a couple of years ago. What problems do i need to look for on the 86? Anything I need to know about the 86s that are different than the 87. I know this one is a Royale, which my other bike was not. I hope the guy calls me back pretty quick. I just emailed him because i just found the bike. It is here locally so i can take a peak tomorrow, I hope. What kind of money would this bike be worth if it is in good shape with 34k miles? Can anyone tell me if the mufflers from a 99-2004 Road Star will fit on a 90 Venture Royale. After reading one of the posts on Khrome Works I went to there web site and they have a set of mufflers marked down from $325 to $100. Does anyone run these mufflers and how do you like the sound?
