  1. Well there I was, out in the back yard working on the bike. It has been having some carb issues beyond the abilities of even the magical Seafoam. The next thing I know I'm chasing the dang front tire as it goes rolling down the street. That tire was quick. It managed to stay about 3 feet in front of me for the next 3 hours. That dang tire rolled all over SE WI with me right behind it. I thought I had it once at a gas station but I took my eye off it for just a second and zoom, it was off and rolling down the road again with me in hot pursuit. But I did finally catch it and lock it up in the shed. Now I have a smile on my face and feel like a nap is in order. Watch out for those front tires, they can be sneaky.
  2. Now that I have a sidecar on my 2004 RSV, I notice the need to feather the clutch considerably more than before just to get it to move. I have read that some of you put V-Max gears in your RSV to make 5th gear more useful. My question is for those of you that have done this does it make much of a difference in first gear, just trying to get rolling?

  6. So Sing Along. US Coast Guard: We're always ready for the call, We place our trust in Thee. Through surf and storm and howling gale, High shall our purpose be. "Semper Paratus" is our guide, Our fame, our glory, too. To fight to save or fight and die, Aye! Coast Guard we are for you! US Air Force: Off we go into the wild blue yonder, Climbing high into the sun; Here they come zooming to meet our thunder, At 'em boys, Give 'er the gun! (Give 'er the gun now!) Down we dive, spouting our flame from under, Off with one helluva roar! We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey! Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force! US Navy: Anchors Aweigh, my boys, Anchors Aweigh. Farewell to college joys, we sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay. Through our last night on shore, drink to the foam, Until we meet once more. Here's wishing you a happy voyage home. US Marines: From the Halls of Montezuma To the shores of Tripoli We fight our country's battles On the land as on the sea. First to fight for right and freedom And to keep our honor clean; We are proud to claim the title Of United States Marines. US Army: First to fight for the right, And to build the Nation’s might, And The Army Goes Rolling Along. Proud of all we have done, Fighting till the battle’s won, And the Army Goes Rolling Along. Then it’s hi hi, hey! The Army’s on its way. Count off the cadence loud and strong For where’er we go, You will always know That The Army Goes Rolling Along.

    Spring Road Trip - 2012

Greetings All I am planning on heading down to Rolling Thunder next May (2012), from Nova Scotia, and am thinking I will take a scoot over to Arizona, afterwards. What sort of temperatures am I looking at encountering in the Arizona Region, late May, early June, or early May and do Rolling Thunder on the way home?

  9. I know who knows....we were not riding it BUT today while out for a ride I really "lit" into the bike from a rolling start at a yield intersection. It really felt like the back end broke loose. This is a really heavy bike and it caught me off guard. Nice clean dry pavement. Will these bikes break the rear wheel from a rolling start??? Or was I imagining it
  10. Ok, I did the Midnight Ride here in Michigan over the weekend. I have a temp guage. Bike usually runs about 190-200. As I am sitting in line at the Mackinaw Bridge (about 15 minutes) the temp slowly climbed to 230. I was about 4 ft behind the bike in front of me. Could the exhaust from the bike in front cause the temp to climb on mine? Once we got rolling, it went right back down to 190. I have noticed when I get into traffic the temp climbs. Is this normal? It's a 2007 Venture.
  11. I will be off-line for about 2 weeks after tonight. Keep the ball rolling here !! Boomer.....who's gonna be a rolling stone fer a bit.

  13. I rode my bike to work this morning. The fog was thick and about 3 or 4 inches up the center of the windshield the dew would not blow off. It was rolling off of it ever where else. I was running about 70 mph. Is there something to put on it so that it won't stay on the windshield? thanks tim
  14. Yesterday I bushed my 05 RSTD in and out from my driveway and it felt hard. The bike is stiffer rolling wise. Today after my ride doing 45km yesterday it was harder to do the same thing so I parked it and had taken my ladies bike to were I had to go (my mums) I have just now jacked up the bike thinking it mite be the bearings in the wheels but they are rolling ok the but brakes are scrapping. But now it is raining.:250:And yesterday too Has some one have a thought from there it may be coming from. Or am I just getting weaker in my legs

  18. I was up at another great rolling thunder this year. I saw many RSV and TD in the parade this year. I also saw the one and only 'Beer30' pulling the BeerCart. I wish I could have found him after but I couldn't. I even walked over to the ball fields where they were having everyone park. Well it was another great time and I hope to be able to make the Asheville gathering to finally meet some of the great folks here at Venturerider. Everyone Ride SAFE. theKid
