Hi all, just sold Suzuki Volusia over weekend and ready to purchase new Venture, sat on one @ Christmas with wife on back and felt good and stable with feet on ground no problem,as i read post on here i see alot of people dropping the venture, that concerns me in that the weight difference from volusia to venture is about 270lbs more. any thoughts or imput appreciated since i want to make a purchase on one in next two weeks and prefer not to drop.. Does any one know where I can purchase red turn signal lenses for the rear of an RSV? I want to purchase a run-stop-turn module and will be needing red lenses.I know I can get red LED's ,but don't want to use a load equalizer and I like the self canceling turn signals.I have seen them on other member's bikes on this forum,but can't seem to find them anywhere.I also thought about using the Harley accessory tail light,but don't know if they could be wired to also function as turn signals.Any help would be greatly appreciated,such as where to buy,part #s,etc.

I know this topic has be hashed over a few times but I was wondering if anyone had tried the helmetless headsets from Sierra http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=IMC%2DHS%2DG45U It appears that they would also work with a half helmet. If they are any good I would be able to keep my half helmet and not have to purchase a 3/4 helmet. But I was thinking they might be noisy. Wayne

TODAY WAS MY FIRST RIDE ON THE NEW AVONS I WENT TO THE SMALLER FRONT AND ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! YOU GUYS WERE NOT KIDDING THE CHANGE IS AMAZING. SO FOR ANYONE STILL ON OEM TIRES THIS IS THE BEST CHANGE I HAVE MADE YET. THANKS FOR THE INPUT ON MY TIRE PURCHASE. THIS PLACE IS THE GREATEST!

I pick up the RSV this Friday -- this is my 6th bike so I know "generally" what to look for and go over. Do you have any specific hints for the RSV? I really start at a very base-line level of -- IF THE FRONT BRAKE FLUID DOESN'T SPRAY ALL OVER THE FENDER then things are pretty good! (Yup, actually happened to me on a purchase day!)
