Hi everyone, Just want to take a moment to thank everyone for their love, prayers, and concerns while undergoing my 2 surgeries and now as I begin my recovery at home. No words could express how much I appreciate your friendships that we've acquired over the years through Venturerider.org. I know it's going to be a long painful recovery, but knowing I have so much loving support and continuing prayers from the venturerider family members, it'll keep me going. Once again, thanks to all. Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon. Charlene

hi folks just a few lines to let you know that annie has broken her leg at the bone graft site . she is in hospital waiting for the specialist to check it out . we ask that you send out prayers for her speedy recovery annie will not be near a computor for while thank you all for being great friends see ya

Just got a call from my surgeon and my surgery for December 11th has been postponed until January 21st. Surgeon has the flu. Thanks for all the kind words and prayers.

Marcie had stomach pains on Wednesday and Thursday so today when she got to work, which is in the emergency dept of a hospital as a secretary, she saw one of the doctors. First thought it might be her appendix but after a cat scan they found a mass between the large and small intestine. May be cancer or a few other possible problems more tests tomorrow and then we show know. PLEASE KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS.

Don't know any details yet, called Doctor to see if results were in yet and they called me back and told me it's OK to go on with the back surgery. Will know more tomorrow when I go see the Doctor. So back surgery is a go for Monday. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

My wife jackie was feeling pains in her beck and chest today, so drove to emergency room. They ran some tests and everything looked ok, then the doctor decided to do a cat scan. to make a long story short they admitted her with blood clots in her lung. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers! You take things for granted till they change, the house feels empty, and my best friend isn't here! She's an awsome person! Thanks

Well guys I just got back from the doctor and the ct scan was clear. I am cancer free. They are going to do radiation treatments to make sure they got all the cells but looks like I will live to ride again. Thank you for your prayers.. Curtis

Some of you know that I had a mass removed last Thursday and went back today to find out that it was Seminomia, form of cancer that it very treatable. The doctor seems to think that he got it all but done a cat scan today to make sure it hasn't spread to my stomach area. I will get the results from the scan on Monday. Keep me in your prayers. We laid my Dad to rest yesterday. He loved the out doors; camping, motorcycling, running, walking, hunting and fishing. He held on long enough to get to know his grandson from Tennessee that he had never met. Thanks to all of you that offered up prayers, it worked. He is out of pain and in a better place. Rod

WOW!!! I'm sitting here in the office, it's 0530hrs...and it 71 degrees. Man it's going to be a sizziler today. And our youngest's birthday...with a party.. Prayers accepted....

I just got a call from Nancy Stills (Meandog's wife), they just found out her Daddy has advanced non cell lung cancer....She asked me to post up a request for prayers for her Daddy, Mama, and her family. I sure hope for their sake all goes well for him. They will be putting in a port for his chemo on Friday, and starting chemo. This family has been through so much already, with Mark. And the prayers from all of us helped them in knowing someone was there for them when they were at their weakest point. Nancy also said she regrets that she will be unable to go to the St. Jude's ride, and hopes we will understand. We for one will be keeping them all in our thoughts and prayers.

Well Charlene finally had surgery to repair her knee today, she is resting now, hopefully this will help her get on her way to feeling better, dont know if this is going to help with her hip or not, but time will tell if she needs surgery on that. Just going to take it one day at a time, she had a rough time coming out from under the drugs they used to knock her out, she has always had a hard time with that anytime they put her under. Please keep her in your prayers for a fast recovery............

Janet got to come home yesterday, after 13 days in the Hospital, she was about to go nuts!! I have been trained to repack her dressing and we both have been trained to do her IV treatments every 8hrs.. Think she will heal alot faster being at home, but they are talking about 3 months. Wanted to thank all that sent best wishes and prayers, I printed them out for her while she was in the Hospital, and they really made her day!! Please keep the prayers coming, as this will be a long road.. Thanks again every one!! What a great Family we have here!! God bless!! Kreg & Janet

well folks it's been a while since I have been on here. Had a bout of pneumonia and was in hospital for 3 days. Go Tue. for second round of chemo. Just ask for prayers for strength. Also go back to work tomorrow, probably half day. Just glad to be back here. Don H.

i won't go into the details, about how i embarrassed the Dr.s, but finally, something is being done! today, we got a formula, for a "chemical cocktail" from M.D. Anderson. jeannie got her first "dose", through her i v tube this evening! she will get the same thing, for two more days, then wait three weeks, and do it all over again!i know in my heart, that the prayers that all of you guys offered, has caused this to turn into a "treatment", instead of a "go home and wait for hospice time, ". for that , i will be eternally grateful! just jt

ok , folks. as some of you know, i have , in the past asked for "technical "assistance. i almost always got what i asked for. i am NOT one to ask for personal favors, but i need prayers! my boss half took a fall, two weeks ago. she broke her left foot, and strained her right knee. yesterday, i had her taken to the er. they admitted her, with "very severe infection", in her lower legs?????????? we were told , that oral antibiotics would serve NO purpose, to combat this infection. so, for 48 hours, she has been given antibiotics, via I.V, every 6 hours, with no noticeable results. tonight . she was moved to S.I.C.U., due to very difficult breathing,and HIGH pulse rate. the Dr. came in and told us, she has "A heart disease", that is causing her lungs to fail. he suspects a blood clot in her lungs. a specialist is due to check her out in the a.m. so i guess , what i am asking for, if you have any to spare is PRAYERS, for by wife of 33 years. lord , what would i do in this big old empty house without her???? thank you all ,in advance. and please don't think that this is a mandatory , reply , type post. if you have a minute , - - - talk to the man , please. just jt

hey all....well it got to 70 degrees here in north west tennessee and the sun was shining all week. guess where i was....in the bed with the flu. missed all the riding weather. its now a light rain falling and i feel great. maybe next week huh. just catching up on all the post. first i would like to shout out to all the new members WELCOME. i know you will enjoy this group of some of the nicest people i have ever had the privilage of getting to know. all are willing to lend a hand and help with any problem you may have. second my heart goes out to meandog and his family. my wife and i will be keeping him in our prayers. kbran i know you are going through a rough time and i will add a line for you too in that prayer. third now that i have give my sermon LOL i have a question about wiring. my acc fuse is blowing and i want to know what is on that circut that might cause the problem i'm having. appreciate any feedback. have a great day all steve. p.s. great job don....had my own group once know how diffucult it can be sometimes...the good things allways makes it worth it though.

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I finally got released from the hospital today. I still have to go for therapy but at least I get to sleep at home every night now. Thanks again for all the prayers and good thoughts. Also for all the cards, phone calls and hospital visits. You folks are the best. Gary

I just received a phone call informing me that Gary and Leslie were in a bike accident down in Ohio. The only detail I have is Leslie didn't make it and that Gary is in the hospital down there ...I'll let you know more as I do. Keep them in you prayers please.

My feeling AMEN lets get all the facts before we bad mouth people. We are all human no matter what color we are. We all make mistakes. Some have to live with it and others don't. In any case my prayers go out to Gary and his family and this it what we need to think about right now. HOPE I DIDN'T STEP ON ANYONE'S TOES.
