  1. i found some vinyl lace, but it was "cheesy, chinese made". also found some "deerskin lace". have a look at the pics and see if this might be what you need. just jt
  2. I was going thru some old hard drives tonight. I knew that I had not removed my carbs when I did mine in 2007. Here's the trick, you have to remove one of the wire guides to get the back valve cover off and part of the plumbing to get the front one off. As you can see in the pics the carbs are still mounted on the bike. So for those of you who don't want to remove the carbs take a look at the photos.
  3. This is the first time trying to post pics, so here goes. I bought this trailer from a guy who builds fiberglass roadster bodies. He did a good job of the box( its the trunk of the roadster but reversed) . But the frame was a mess, so I had to redo that. I also did some rewiring, and the stainless steel fenders from some scrap I had kicking around. The box is 3' long, 2' wide, and 2' high at the back. If you can't tell by the pics you load it through the little door in the back.
  4. here's what you'll be looking for when you come to pick up the Honda. There is no way to attach pics to a PM, so this was the next best thing I also PM'd you my address. Good Luck, Bill
  5. I would like anyone with a 96 rs to send me a pic of the monoshock and mounting brackets. i think my bike may have been lowered because I scrape at minimal lean angles.
  6. My account has been down for at least a week with the following message I get at login, I cant do anything except get this message. Member here has PM'd for my pics of progressive fork rebuild-linked to photobucket, and doesn't work. There are 71 pics I had on photobucket. Still have on PC, dont think I can PM 71 pics, and likely limit on #pics/email. Any suggestions on another photohosting site? Any ideas what problem is with photobucket and if likely be restored or pics lost? Brian Photobucket Site Maintenance http://pic.photobucket.com/logos/PbLogo.350.gif New Maintenance Update Photobucket customers, Let me begin by once again expressing my apologies for the issues you have been experiencing, and for the delay in restoring service. We continue to work diligently to resolve the problems and would like to keep you up-to-date on how things are going. The vast majority of you that were impacted should now or very soon notice that your accounts and images are back up again. However, not every user has been restored to service; we still are working to restore less than 1% (0.25%) of our user base. If your account is still not working, please be assured that we know about it and continue to work toward fully restoring service for all users as quickly as possible. We will continue to provide updates as they occur. We hear your frustration and appreciate all of your feedback. Thank you, Jim Goss VP of Operations

  11. Made it home with an 2008 RSV, when we crossed back into Canada today. Didn't want to say much until I got across the border and home. An 08 with 4,800 miles, pretty much bare. Got a little dirty in the rain. I doubt it will be the last time, just hope it's not too often. Don't have many pics but I know the rules. I will get some more up later when I get it cleaned up. Naugh-T can be pretty naughty, eh Kreg and Kenny ? Brad

  15. Ok after the M&E saturday everyone else headed out for a ride and Laura and I set out for the Biltmore. We stayed there about 4 hrs and never went inside. Laura is studying to get her sertificate in photgraphy and part of this semesters classes is in drawing...Yeah I dont know either but she does so all is well. Anyways she chose the biltmore as her final project in the drawing class . She had to take pics of the biltmore and do drawings of the 3 she picked so she went a litle crazy. This is most of what she took. http://s569.photobucket.com/albums/ss133/painterman6709/Biltmore%20estates/ Hope you enjoy as much as I did. I seen a lot of things I never noticed before there through her eyes in the camera. later David
  16. Last year I installed a set of Jardine Chromed forward controls on my 96 royal star. Although I really enjoy the looks of them on the bike, I'm just not comfortable using them. I'm stretched out just a little too much for my 5'8" fatman frame.....and for myself, it's just not comfortable enough to continue using them. I'm going to put the regular Yamaha floorboards, shifter and brake systems back on...returning that part of the bike to stock. So...when I have a chance to dig the bike out of the backyard shed....the ground is still way too soft to get the bike out....I'll post some pics of them on the bike, and put them up for sale. I'll be asking $300 plus actual shipping costs. They are mint, I only put on about 600 miles on that bike last year. Thought I'd post this up in case someone else is thinking of installing a set on their royal star, they list for $700 new. Here's a couple of pics when I installed them. gunk:confused24:
  17. I'm looking for pics of lower and wider than stock windshields on bike. Trying to decide what I like best.
  18. To get things done around house. Before and after pics Brad
  19. I got my F4 Customs windshield back in December, but the weather has been CRAPPY here until this weekend...a beautiful weekend too I might add...so I finally got a chance to shoot a couple of pics that really show off the clarity of this shield. YES, I love the shield. I got the one that is 2" wider and 2" taller than the stock shield. I would DEFINITELY buy this shield again (especially after riding in the rain one day last week)...light rain just SHEETED right off the shield. My only (EXTREMELY MINOR) complaint is that I do wished it still had the black shaded strip at the bottom of the shield. Not only did that strip make the stock shield look better, but it also reduced glare a little bit and hid the dirt between the shield and the fairing. Here are the pics. Wally
  20. My pics from the M&E. Enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Pics are at http://s760.photobucket.com/albums/xx248/etcswjoe/Bike%20Rides/2010%20Int%20Bike%20Show%20and%20ME/
  21. Messing around in the garage a few days ago and took some pics of my bike. Couldn't believe how the flash makes he flames show up even more. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b303/elmicko2002/S7301175.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b303/elmicko2002/S7301176.jpg Ok, so I'm bragging a little, but I REALLY like my bike. Dang snow needs to go away!!
  22. For those that have a HF trailer. Per the specs the bed is 40 x 49 inches. Am I correct to assume that it is 40" wide? Can someone that has one give me the total dimension from outside of fender to outside of fender? Has anyone flipped the axle to the top of the springs just to lower the CG? I can not find any car topper that fills all of my needs so I am planning to build one. I will incorporate the wheel wells into the box that I am building. Dang this will be a lot of work between now and MD. Yes I will post pics as soon as there is something to post pics of.
