Who is making the best, most versatile drink holder out there? What kind of mount would work for the passenger?

RSV 2002 but with 2007 seats. My problem is I am too short and cannot see over or around my husband. Does anyone have any ideas to raise the passenger seat? Most of the advise I get is ride my own. I have been a passenger for over 30 years and just got my license this year. My little Honda 250 is just a get around. Maybe next year I will get my big bike. In the mean time, any ideas for raising the seat? This is my first post, so hope put it in the right forum!!! jj

on passenger cup holder mounts. I'm sure this has been gone over many times, but I can't seem to find any threads. The only place I can find to mount a cup holder is on the passenger hand rails. Gary's using the trick on the gas tank cover, but I need one myself. My brother had given us one that I put on from Cabella's but the first time I used it, away she went. I also had purchased a leather one that I liked, but it hung down to low and now I have a rub mark on the top of my side bag. I need one that sits up high enough that I can still get my side cover open. Any suggestions?

I got a set of IMC motorcom HS-G15's headsets and I am not able the the driver from the passenger helmet. One speaker, from the passenger connection, is not getting sound either. I think the when the passenger speaks, it is supposed to cancel something, I dunno. I have new J&M cables from the tuner installed as well. What am I missing? Remember the 85's do not have a passenger controller. I have replaced the radio and cassette player on this but not the tuner or anything else.

Do to my wife being so tall, hahaha. I find myself in need of a set of adjustable passenger floorboards the ones that go on the crash bars of a mark II. Does anybody have a set in any condition they'd be willing to part with? If not can I borrow a set to have them reversed engineered? Jeff

The connector is not in a very handy place. I want to move it but am limited by the amount of wire. The wire runs from the connector back up in under the trunk. Anyone know if there's extra cable packed behind the passenger backrest somewhere? If so, how do you get to it? Anyone else repositioned the connector to make it more accessible?

Is there any way to move, extend or modify the passenger floorboards? I'm fine riding solo but when my wife is on and we come to a stop i'm getting whacked in the back of my calves with her boots. She's tried sitting pigeon toed and the foot boards still make contact. Any sugestions other than riding solo?

I finally bought a new set of cables for the intercom system from Sierra and I am curious as to how the end of the passenger one is supposed to lay. These wires were original and the holes where the pins would go were rusty. Currently, the old one in the back is held on with a wire tie on the right passenger hand bar. In the package came two holders for the ends. Did the rear one come with a holder when new? If not, did y'all use the holder that came with the kit? If so, where did you stick it? Is yours on the left or right side? I have had this bike since 94 and just now working my way to headsets, geez.

I have a 06 RSV. My sweetie has mentioned that she would like something like highway pegs for the back. I see that Diamond R has them. If any one has them mounted on a second gen can you post a pic so I can see where they would mount and how they would look. If there are any passengers willing to share their experience with passenger highway pegs we would appreciate that input as well. Thanks all

RSTD Passenger Floorboard Mods

Lowering 3" and forward 3" for tall passenger. I cut off the hinge of the yamaha mount and welded 1/4" plate horizontally to add length to clear side pipes. then welded plate at 90deg vertically to drop 3" down and forward. I took the passenger floorboard mount from a HD and cut and welded the floorboard hinge point to the bottom of the vertical plate. I used to HD mount so I can use what ever after market floorboard I choose. I am going to use Kuryakyn. After a dry fit for clearance I will finish the welds and remove the excess mass of the plate by cutting to a more attractive profile. Final step will be to have the piece chromed and mounted. Will add pics after next step.- 1 reply

How involved is moving the passenger headset plug-in? I have read else where that some have moved the plug to the back of the drivers backrest. I was wondering how invovled that is. Does the trunk need to be pulled for this, and do you need additional cable? Just looking to place the plug in a more convient location for the passenger so they can plug in when already mounted on the bike. Thanks in advance SlimJim 04' white RSV

I was going through the book and taking appraisal (yet again) of my new purchase yesterday, and found that I am missing the passenger CB/Radio Remote switch. Now, I don't know how necessary or how well they work, but it would be nice to have it nonetheless, so I was wondering where one might get their hands on one of these switches. Thanks.

I am not sure what section this should go in since the WTB section I found did not seem to have a new topic tab. So if this is not the right place for it, please move it to the appropriate section. I have a 1987 Venture Royale and need a few items. Most of these were lifted off the bike while at a shop getting a tune up. Rear passenger control module Rider and passenger attachable bags 1 Intercom/Radio volume knob Cassette deck cover Coolant bottle cap (not radiator) Left engine side cover vent 1 engine side cover band (rubber piece holding bottom of cover) Needless to say if anyone has a line on these items please let me know.

There is a solitary bolt centered on the rear fender just behind the passenger seat. Does anyone know what it is for? I was just wondering.

Yesterday was a little cool in the morning, perfect weather to go to our local dealers for a look see in their warm showrooms. Everything I was looking for was there: Venture, Tour Deluxe, and others like Kawasaki Nomad and Suzuki 90T. The trouble is there are no bad ones today among all that we looked at. The top priority is comfort for the passenger. Yesterday the wife actually liked the back seat of the RSTD the best. As a driver she also felt she could handle it easier than the Venture. Since she too is looking to possibly trade in her 750 Vulcan, Mary's #1 pick to buy, drive, and/or ride as a passenger would be the Burgman 400 or possibly even the 650. So here we are, the winter dealer visits have begun and may the best dealers win.

I have not yet purchased an RSV. I saw the first one that I think I have ever seen last Saturday. But they interest me, and I have been doing some research on here and looking at a lot of pictures. So I have some questions. 1. Do all the RSV's come with driving lights - those two lights on either side of the headlight? Some have them and some do not. The one I saw also had visors over the driving lights. Are these lights add-on accessories? 2. I have noticed a difference in the passenger backrests as well. The one I saw had a very nice passenger backrest with arms on it for the passenger to lean back and relax. But I notice a lot of them do not have this. So is this particular type of back rest another add-on, or was it peculiar to certain model years? 3. The particular model I saw also had a light bar/air foil on top of the top box on the back. I presume that that IS an add-on. 4. I have read that RSV's have 12 volt accessory outlets for heated vests, for example. But the 2004 model I saw did not have any outlets. So what is going on here? Can some one answer these questions?
