I found a 2002 midnight, I'm wondering how hard would and can it be done, to replace the seats with pillow top seats drivers and passenger and the back rest on the passenger, how hard is that to remove...

I bought a pair of MarkII ('87) passenger boards on eBay and trying to fit them on my '83. The 3 mounting holes line up OK. The problem is with the muffler attachment. There's a wide gap and a bit of an offset. Anyone know of a solution? -

My Passenger stepped on the Left Foot Rest to get on the Bike yesterday and snapped one of the screws and bent the other. So, I have to drill out what's left of one and replace both. Is this something most dealers will stock or should I just go ahead and order online. If onliine, do any of you have an idea who to go thru? I've ordered from Dennis Kirk and others for accessories, but not for something this simple. I doubt they would carry such items. craigr

Can anybody tell me about the Chatterbox Multi sport radio, an the X1, X2 series ?I have nothing on my other bike. I want to talk to other Bikes an have a driver to passenger introcom.It does'nt have to be all that high of quality of sound. Thanks for your time Mr. Holloween

Seems everyone at PIP was watching their floorboards REAL carefully since mine went missing on ride up to Laporte. So beings I couldnt steal... er...um... borrow one of theirs, does anybody have a spare running around they can part with? I just need the rubber insert for a 2nd gen passenger floorboard. If so let me know how much so I can get that fixed up. God Bless. Mike

To those of you who ride the more beautiful and nimble of the Venture lineup, I ask this question. The manual states that lone rider rear shock pressure should be 14 psi. Add a passenger or cargo (not both) then the psi jumps to 42 for the rear. My dilemma is that I don't have a compressor on board (removed before I bought the bike and never replaced) so I have the rear shock psi set to 30. I also have damper set to 2. I do this in case I pick up a passenger unexpectedly. I am interested in your thoughts on this and if you think there may be a better way to do this. Thanks in advance, Thomas -
Well I got a line on a one piece seat for my RSTD I plan on installing an air ride driver and passenger seat,also a passenger air ride backrest and trunk. With som mod's I think everything will work out and hope to be the first to adjust the air ride seat on the FLY. What do you all think of my idea???????????? :happy34: Joe star4772

I removed the trunk on my 2004 RSV and purchased a 2005 RSTD quick release backrest on e-bay. I went to look at a RSTD to see what I would need to make it work. The rubber mounts and bolts shouldn't be any problem but there is a welded pin on the RSTD mount that secures the backrest. Has anyone been able to make this work in the past or is there a bracket(even if I have to bolt on and off) that will allow me to use the passenger backrest on my RSV? Thanks...

I have a very small "weep hole"(maybe 1/16in.) on each side of my exhaust pipes probably located just below the passenger foot rest---are these factory or do you suppose someone added them ------Thanx........................Larry

I have a 1993 GMC 1500 that I am restoring my ? is I replaced the ac compressor and dryer with all new o-rings and it works great but I get a drip of water running on the passenger side floor any idea what is causing this?

OK, the backseat boss and I got some new helmets and would like to set up some comms. Unfortunately I now realize that the bike I bought doesn't have the passenger control for the intercom, CB, etc.. Does anyone have a working one off a parts bike they would be willing to give up? Please let me know! I found it on the parts websites, but that price is a little steep to swallow. Is there an alternative device I could plug in to allow her and I to both use the intercom/CB or however that works and listen to the radio. Thanks! Todd

Evening all, I am looking for a pair of Venture passenger grab bars to put on my 08 RSTD. I am going to bolt the front of the grab bar on the fender bracket (just like on a Venture) and then fabricate something to hold them together behind the seat with a mount running to my rear seat bolt. I want to do this so I can add the Venture passenger arm rests that Diamond Accessories sells. We are headed to Deals Gap in July to run the Dragon and go to Star Days. I am trying to make my wife's ride a little more comfortable without putting on the entire Venture pack (too expensive). I have a Corbin seat which we both like so I don't want to replace it. I have tried Pinwall cycle but they don't have any. Any one got another source for used bike parts or maybe have a set on a shelf in their garage that they would want to sell? -

Just curious ... What is the biggest load anyone has put IN and ON their trunk (luggage rack). I am leaving tomorrow for a long trip (1 week to the Grand Canyon). I can put my ROLL BAG on the passenger seat (I'm riding solo), but the trunk is full too...Will I be OK. I am thinking maybe the roll bag is about 20 lbs and the trunk another 25-30lbs. Any experiences? Wally

Does anyone have a wrap around passenger backrest pillow top style? I saw the one for sale by Yamaha and Corbin but it is not the right finish. I would like to purchase one but I can not find the right style for my 05 RSV. Does anyone have any idea where I could buy one? Gaetan

Ok, I removed the passenger set to secure one of the HSH (Holy S**T Handles) and go to reattach the seat and I realize that one of the screws/bolts are stripped. I would be willing to accept the blame; however, it never tightened completed. Now I realize I can't get it back out again should I need to tighten the HSH again. That being said, again I would like to proclaim to the world my ignorance of all things mechanical. So now my problem is how do I get this bolt/screw without having to take it to the dealer and have him charge me for what they probably did in the first place. Or is this something that I am going to need help from a more mechanically apt and better stocked individual. TIA P.S. I was only able to take off the passenger seat because I happened to read in here somewhere that the bolts for the passenger seat was located under the driver's seat. P.P.S. I was also only able to remove the driver's seat through the gracious and kindness of another individual here who walked me through removing it on the phone - lol. Did I mention I am totally mechanically inept. It is sooo bad, that the Air Force almost did not let me enlist because of the mechaniccal portion of the ASVAB even though I scored off the charts on everything else. No, not what you think. Just curious if there is a "trick" to the passenger getting off the bike without looking like they are falling off the bike. How does your passenger dismount? Keep it clean. Wally

Has anyone tried the passenger backrest in accessories book? My wife would like it to wrap around her a little more. She is only 5 ft 2" tall. Can you still move your arms around with the new one? Any help would be great. Rich

I was trying to find the post about a member making some off-set brackets last year to make it so his wife's legs would go down farther on the passenger floor boards . but I can not seem to find it in the search. I am looking for the post for another RSV Owner any help would be great. Thanks, Jeff

Tried finding this already.. can't find a thread with the info. I just got all the wires and all for my intercom headsets. I, however, use a half helmet and would like to hear all audio out of the speakers. Passenger wants helmet speakers. I can hear CB & radio out of speakers, but not getting any intercom. Any tips? Or does intercom not go through speakers?

I'm wondering if there is a SC Venture owner with passenger arm rests installed that would be willing to meet up with me, so I can check out your arm rests? Mainly have my nine year old passenger check them out and see if she can even reach the rests? I've looked at many variations of passenger arm rests, my dilemma is that they seem to sit way forward of where her arms would comfortably reach, which would defeat the purpose of me funding a set. The days are warming up and are getting longer, so we could meet pretty much meet up with you anywhere in our state.
